Arizona Action Alert: Help Stop Civil Asset Forfeiture; Urge Gov. Ducey to Sign HB2477

Arizona House Bill 2477 (HB2477) would require prosecutors to establish a higher evidentiary standard for asset forfeiture. The bill also takes on federal forfeiture programs by banning prosecutors from circumventing state laws by passing cases off to the feds in most situations. It passed the House by a unanimous 60-0 vote, and then passed the Senate by a unanimous 30-0 vote. (learn more here)

The bill needs to be signed by the Governor in order to become law. PLEASE TAKE THE FOLLOWING ACTIONS to support this important bipartisan bill.

1. Write an email to, Gov. Doug Ducey. Strongly, but respectfully urge him to sign HB2477 into law. Once drafted, please email the letter to mrodriguez@veridus.com. The emails will all be printed out and hand-delivered to the governor.
