Sen. Rand Paul compares “Right to Healthcare” to slavery

He’s right

The people who want me to give up my earnings so everyone can have substandard healthcare rather than just the people who don’t/can’t work don’t care that I object. They don’t care that I work two jobs to pay for what I and my family have. They want me to pay, dearly.

Sen. Rand Paul, speaking at the HELP (Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions) subcommittee on Primary Health and Aging, nailed it again. The Subcommittee was looking at emergency room use as a primary care source, when Sen. Paul said;

“With regard to the idea whether or not you have a right to health care you have to realize what that implies. I am a physician. You have a right to come to my house and conscript me. It means you believe in slavery. You are going to enslave not only me but the janitor at my hospital, the person who cleans my office, the assistants, the nurses. … You are basically saying you believe in slavery,” said Paul (R-Ky.), who is an ophthalmologist.

The left is, as you would expect, up in arms. Think Progress even put up a video (via RCP) of Sen. Paul in his own words, words that somehow don’t sink in when heard by the leftists at Think Progress…

If my earnings are taken by force (which they are – try to tell the IRS “No”) to pay for something that not only do I not agree with, but has been ruled unconstitutional, what else can it be called?

You could call it “rogue government”, they are implementing Obamacare despite the ruling.
