Applying Alternative Energy Innovations to Spending By Politicians

There may be a way to curb and cut the spending by elected officials; make them work for it. James Taranto’s column1 in Wall Street Journal Friday included the following section:   Taranto’s conclusion? “According to ElectricChoice.com, residential power in Denton, where UNT is located, sells for between 8.52 cents and 11.35 cents a kilowatt-hour. More Democrats on the Lam! Running From Another Union Bill

Indiana House Democrats have apparently joined their Wisconsin brothers “on the lam.”  They’ve fled their state to avoid voting on several bills their party characterizes as “anti-union”, including a bill that would make Indiana a “right to work” state.  Right to work states do not require employees to join a union when their workplace is […]

“Innovative” State of the Union: It Glows in the Dark!

I will confess that I did not sit through the whole State of the Union speech the other night due to a prior commitment. While I am so sorry for that, truly, (really, honestly…no, I mean it) I did catch bits and pieces during the replay later and then saw some more through the hash, […]

Ironic: Wikileaks' Assange Complains About Leaks of HIS Information

Wikileaks’ Julian Assange is exemplifying the meaning of the word irony lately. While on the one hand asserting the right to leak information about anything and everything, Assange himself has requested certain information about himself be kept private and, through his attorneys, expressed outrage about…leaks. In a story in The Australian, an Assange attorney was […]

The Saga of the Rude Parrot

A young man named John received a parrot as a gift. The parrot had a bad attitude and an even worse vocabulary.

Every word out of the bird’s’ mouth was rude, obnoxious and laced with profanity. John tried and tried to change the bird’s attitude by consistently saying only polite words, playing soft music and anything else he could think of to ‘clean up’ the bird’s vocabulary.

Electile Dysfunction by Dennis Grover (Nevada)

We just came out of another election, let me explain it one more time!

All one has to do is spend a couple of evenings watching late evening television to realize that we have a brand new menu of medical syndromes and disorders to choose from. “Experts” are telling us they don’t have a clue or pharmaceutical companies are offering a new “miracle” pill to make us all feel good, like we did before our country suffered from Electile Dysfunction.
