Why (and how) to get involved in the Oklahoma Republican Party

Most Americans are not involved in politics. According
to the U.S. Census
(which is only current through 2010), about 35% of the
population votes in non-presidential election years, and about 50-55% vote in
presidential election years. So only half the public bothers to vote for President.
Every other election a little more than a third picks the entire House and 1/3
of the Senate. Most people think that voting is enough. It is NOT. I would call
it a minimum standard for being a citizen. This is really only half of the way
someone can influence how our nation is governed. more

Support Oklahoma’s Stop Agenda 21 Bills

Currently filed to be introduced in the State Legislature of Oklahoma are three bills, Senate Joint Resolution 2, Senate Bill 23, and Senate Bill 53. These three bills would prohibit the state and or any of its political subdivisions from implementing policies directly or iindirectly related to the United Nations Agenda 21 and prohibit the public funding of any UN Agenda 21 related programs or organizations, including groups like the International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI), also known as ICLEI — Local Governments for Sustainability. more

Sen. Nathan Dahm has filed three proposals to protect the Second Amendment rights of Oklahomans to keep and bear arms. Dahm said the Constitution provides clear protections to gun owners, but if lawmakers are not diligent, those protections can easily come under attack by proponents of big government. more
