Integris Health Hospital Employee Balks at Patient Biometric Scans

Kaye Beach April 24, 2013 Almost no one would disagree that our government aided by its corporate partners, has become increasingly intrusive and data hungry. At every turn it seems we are being measured, monitored, tracked or surveyed in some … Continue reading

Florida pot grower busted for manufacturing ‘high-end assault rifles’

"Police in Port St. Lucie, Florida announced on Wednesday that they had arrested a couple on charges related to a 'weapons manufacturing warehouse' and a marijuana growing operations, according to TCPalm. WPTV reported that a traffic stop made by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office earlier in the week led to a marijuana grow house, which then led to a warehouse facility where 'high-end' weapons were being manufactured. At a warehouse on Northwest Settle Avenue, investigators found about 150 marijuana plants and ten guns, including an AK-47 military-style assault rifle." Continue reading

U.S. Government Preparing for Major Terrorism Exercises In Three Cities

"Beginning sometime between May 7 and May 29, local, state and top level federal authorities will respond to simulated weapons of mass destruction attacks in three cities — Denver, Portsmouth, N.H., and the Washington, D.C.-area. Volunteers and professional actors will play the roles of victims, who will be rescued, diagnosed, decontaminated and treated over the 10-day period. A 'virtual news network' will be created that will broadcast on the exercises every hour on the hour. This marks the first time that an exercise of this scope, with the participation of top-level federal, state and local officials, has ever been conducted." Continue reading

Government Agencies Failed, so We Must Give Them Even More Authority

"'Some 1,271 government organizations and 1,931 private companies work on programs related to counterterrorism, homeland security and intelligence in about 10,000 locations across the United States. … An estimated 854,000 people, nearly 1.5 times as many people as live in Washington, D.C., hold top-secret security clearances.' Americans have spent trillions of dollars in the name of 'fighting terrorism,' yet we are told that truly all of the king's horses and all of the king's men could not stop a couple of young men from exploding bombs at a major American sporting event. What is Thomas's response? The American State obviously needs more power and more authority." Continue reading

‘Boston Strong’: Marching in Lockstep with the Police State

"Tsarnaev’s case may prove to be the game-changer. Yet as journalist Emily Bazelon points out for Slate: 'Why should I care that no one’s reading Dzhokhar Tsarnaev his Miranda rights? When the law gets bent out of shape for him, it’s easier to bend out of shape for the rest of us.' This continual undermining of the rules that protect civil liberties, not to mention the incessant rush to judgment by politicians, members of the media and the public, will inevitably have far-reaching consequences on a populace that not only remains ignorant about their rights but is inclined to sacrifice their liberties for phantom promises of safety." American Eagle Gold Bullion Coin Sales Suspended; U.S. Inventory Depleted

"The U.S. Mint said it has suspended sales of its one-tenth ounce American Eagle gold bullion coins as surging demand after bullion's plunge to two-year lows depleted the government's inventory. Bottom line: The selling in gold that has occurred isn't coming from the general public. So far in April, the U.S. Mint has sold 175,000 ounces of American Eagle gold coins, putting it on track to challenge a high of 231,500 ounces set in December 2009. The buying by individuals in the wake of the curious decline seems to be global." Continue reading

Gerald Celente: Sneak Peek At New Trends Journal & Boston Tragedy

"There was a recent article that came out about the amount of suicides and desperate moves people are making in desperation about what’s going on around the world. You know my saying, ‘When people lose everything and have nothing left to lose, they lose it.’ And people are starting to lose it. I believe the actions that were taken with police, military, and armored vehicles, 10,000 troops to go after a 19-year old kid in Boston, are the beginning of more to come. So as societies breakdown you are going to see more and more Martial Law put in place to keep the people in place." Continue reading

FBI and Tsarneav: What Did They Know and When Did They Know it?

"This is getting awkward. Members of the Senate Intelligence Committee were told today that Russian authorities warned the FBI about the potential threat Tamerlan Tsarneav posed not once but 'multiple times' and 'at least once since October 2011.' Also, in a blow to some Russophiles who want to draw the US into Russia's fight against separatism in the Caucuses -- 'it's the Chechens!!!' -- a statement appeared on a website run by Russia's North Caucasus rebels that disavowed any link to the Boston Marathon bombing. So what gives?" Continue reading

Disaster in Watertown

"Back in the Clinton days, people who lived in crime-ridden apartment complexes in Chicago and other places wanted the police to conduct warrantless sweeps or searches. This kind of ignorance like that from those who applaud the Watertown search is a compelling argument against being forced into a society whose rules one must obey or whose guns one must obey when its people decide to tear up the rules. The authorities are supposed to know the rules and follow them and to protect against intrusions against them. Of course, this is a pipe dream when fewer and fewer people, in and out of office, either know their rights or feel them in their hearts." Continue reading
