Nurse Lets Patient Die in Real Life Milgram Experiment

"87-year-old Lorraine Bayless collapsed at Glenwood Gardens senior living facility in Bakersfield, California. A nurse named Colleen called 911 and was instructed by the dispatcher, Tracey Halvorson, to perform CPR to save the woman’s life, but Colleen replied that it was against their policy and she couldn’t do it, so she watched Lorraine die. Audio of the 911 call has been released which is chilling to the bone, and mainstream coverage of the story is almost as terrifying." Continue reading

Japanese man dies after being turned away from 25 hospitals

"A 75-year-old Japanese man died after 25 hospitals refused to admit him to their emergency rooms 36 times over two hours, citing lack of beds or doctors to treat him, an official said Tuesday. The man, who lived alone in a city north of Tokyo, called an ambulance after suffering breathing problems at his home in January. Paramedics rushed to his house but were told in turn by all 25 hospitals in the area that they could not accept the man because they did not have enough doctors or any free beds, a local city official said, adding some institutions were contacted more than once." Obamacare will hurt young people most

"Younger, healthier people, many of whom voted for Mr. Obama in droves, will see their insurance premiums climb sharply as Obamacare demands that insurers provide them with more medical coverage than they want or need. Older Americans and retirees already are seeing a steep rise in their insurance bills, too. Businesses great and small are either curtailing their employee health care plans or dropping them entirely in anticipation of rising costs. Many seniors who have supplemental policy plans — which cover 20 percent of the medical bills that Medicare does not — have seen their premiums rise this year." Continue reading

How to run a cash-only practice and thrive [2010]

"Forrest's practice, which he named Access Healthcare, is cash-only. He does not accept insurance or Medicare and won't file reimbursement paperwork for patients. He sees, at most, 16 patients a day and goes home by 5 p.m. His minimum annual income nearly doubles that of a typical family physician in his region, according to Medical Economics 2009 compensation survey. His estimated net pre-tax income is between $270,000 and $495,000 a year and he doesn't require patients to pay a 'concierge' or membership fee to establish at his practice." Continue reading

50 Signs That The U.S. Health Care System Is A Gigantic Money Making Scam That Is About To Collapse

"In the United States today, the health care industry is completely dominated by government bureaucrats, health insurance companies and pharmaceutical corporations. The pharmaceutical corporations spend billions of dollars to convince all of us to become dependent on their legal drugs, the health insurance companies make billions of dollars by providing as little health care as possible, and they both spend millions of dollars to make sure that our politicians in Washington D.C. keep the gravy train rolling. Meanwhile, large numbers of doctors are going broke and patients are not getting the care that they need." Continue reading

Another Warning About Switching Your Healthcare Plan

"Those that have money will be paying not only for their own coverage, but will be paying for those with lower-than-average incomes, as well as for the new new automatically included coverages (e.g. maternity) that must be covered in the new mandated plans, all relating to younger folks (which is why income, rather than age, will now be the deciding factor in the cost of health plans) . Worse, those without health plans will be charged a percentage of income (going up each year) for NOT having a qualified plan! Speak with professionals before considering making any changes if you have been on a continuous plan since 3/2010." Continue reading

Health Insurance Under Obamacare: “The More You Make The More You’ll Pay”

"A friend familiar with the industry emails and points me to a summary at the NOLO legal encyclopedia that explains how healthcare insurance premiums are going to become income based. My friend concludes: This is the provision that I was told about by somebody who works at Blue Cross, but the government and even the media has been keeping very mum about it…. One provision not mentioned in this article is about the grandfathering of current plans back to sometime in 2010, where if you have had the same policy since then you won’t be charged based on income." Commentator Donna Brazile Gets Obamanized (Note: Very Painful)

"Donna Brazile, apologist for everything Obama, syndicated columnist, television political commentator on CNN and ABC, is bitching about her soaring healthcare insurance premium. She doesn't know why it is going up. I've covered some of the why here and here, but the short and long answer is Obamacare. Below is her 'health care works' cheering on of ACA via a tweet last year, underneath that is a tweet from her today where she is bitching about her healthcare premium climbing and not getting a good answer as to why it is going up. She still doesn't seem to get that she has been Obamanized." Continue reading

Which Nation Has the Most Per-Capita Government Spending on Healthcare?

"Is it Canada or the United Kingdom, which are famous (or, if these stories are any indication, infamous would be a better description) for single-payer healthcare systems? Is it Sweden, the home of the cradle-to-grave welfare state? Or France, the land of the world’s most statist people? How about Italy or Greece, nations that have spent themselves into fiscal crisis? Nope, nope, nope, and nope. The United States spends more money, on a per-capita basis, than any of those countries." Continue reading

First Obamacare Horror Story

"A California small businessman tells me that he switched healthcare insurance carriers in 2012. The monthly premium for him and his wife was about $400, but when he received his first bill in January of this year it was for $1,200. He hasn't been to a doctor in years, his wife has only gone for minor care. Apparently there is some clause in the Affordable Healthcare Act that results in health insurance firms using a new method to calculate premiums. Those who have health insurance plans that have been in effect since at least 2010 are grandfathered under the old calculation method, but insurance carriers are using a new formula for new plans."
