Relying on government to limit its own power is a really bad strategy for liberty. Ultimately, it’s up to us to defend our constitution and our liberty whether the government people want us to or not.

Supreme Court Effectively Grants Absolute Immunity to Federal Cops

With these recent SCOTUS decisions (or non-decisions) the Court has now created nearly impenetrable absolute immunity for federal agents. It's probably only a matter of time before we see similar immunity afforded state and local cops.

Now in Effect: Virginia Law Takes Another Step Toward Treating Gold and Silver as Money

Today, a law extending and expanding a sales tax exemption on the sale of gold and silver bullion and coins goes into effect. The exemption relieves some of the tax burdens on investors, and it also eliminates one barrier to using gold and silver in everyday transactions, a foundational step for people to undermine the Federal Reserve’s monopoly on money.
