Hawaii Committee Passes Bill to Legalize Limited Raw Milk Sales; Foundation to Nullify Federal Prohibition Scheme

Under the proposed law, milk producers could legally sell raw milk and raw milk products directly to consumers subject to rules adopted by an oversight board. Sales would be limited to farms or facilities with no more than 10 milk-bearing cows, The law would also implement labeling standards for raw milk.

Wisconsin Bill Would Take Step Toward Treating Gold and Silver as Money

The legislation would create a sales and use tax exemption for precious metal bullion. The bill defines “precious metal bullion” as coins, bars, rounds, or sheets that contain at least 35 percent gold, silver, copper, platinum, or palladium.
