Oregon Bill Would Expand Raw Milk Sales in the State

Alaska Bill Would Set the Stage to Treat Gold and Silver as Money

A bill introduced in the Alaska House would exempt gold and silver bullion from the state sales tax and make both legal tender in the state. Passage of this bill would not only relieve some of the tax burdens on investors, but it would also eliminate barriers to using gold and silver in everyday transactions, a foundational step for people to undermine the Federal Reserve’s monopoly on money.

Indiana Bill Would Take on Federal Gun Control; Past, Present, and Future

Titled the “Second Amendment Preservation Act,” (SAPA) the legislation would ban any entity or person, including any public officer or employee of the state and its political subdivisions, from enforcing any past, present or future federal “acts, laws, executive orders, administrative orders, court orders, rules, regulations, statutes, or ordinances” that infringe on the right to keep and bear arms.

Retail Marijuana Sales Begin in Connecticut Despite Federal Cannabis Prohibition

As of today, adults 21 and over can buy up to .25 ounces of cannabis flower or its equivalent per transaction at licensed hybrid retailers licensed for medical and recreational sales. State regulators say those limits “will be reviewed over time, and are in place to ensure businesses are able to maintain adequate supply for both adult-use consumers and medical marijuana patients.”

Destroyer of Liberty: Consolidation

The founders considered consolidation one of the greatest threats to liberty. Both federalist and anti-federalist alike agreed on this political maxim, at least publicly. Their debate was mostly over whether the proposed constitution was creating such a centralized government - including warnings that a tendency towards it would lead to that result in the long run.

Missouri Bill Would Ban Release of Medical Marijuana Registry Information to Feds

The proposed law would make it a felony for a state agency or state employee to disclose any personally identifying information of persons who have applied for or obtained a qualifying medical marijuana patient identification card, patient cultivation identification card, or primary caregiver identification card to the federal government or any federal employee, or another unauthorized third party.

Permitless Concealed Carry Bill Filed in Nebraska

The legislation amends existing state law to allow carry concealed firearms without a permit for those 21 and older. It would also prohibit local governments from enacting their own gun control regulations, and existing laws violating that provision would be "null and void."
