Yes, it’s pretty ironic.
On Friday, unconstitutional government-run schools will celebrate “Constitution Day.” While I certainly believe it’s essential to teach people about the Constitution, the discussions in the government schools generally focus on “Constitution Trivia” instead of what’s really important.
While it may be good to educate people on how many years a Senator serves, or how Supreme Court justices are appointed, it’s not enough. Seriously lacking in the public discourse is the actual purpose of the Constitution – its underlying principles.
To us here at the TAC, Constitution Day is EVERY day! And last weekend, we released another short video on one of the most abused parts of it, the “general Welfare” Clause. Watch it here:

As usual, I know that a 2 minute video like this probably covers a lot of information you’re already aware of, but I think it makes for a really powerful tool to educate other people on the original meaning of the clause.
