Podcast: Trump and the Supreme Court

People keep telling me I need to vote for Donald Trump because of Supreme Court justices. In this episode of Thoughts from Maharrey Head, I talk about that.

If I care about the Constitution and limited federal power, I have to vote for Donald Trump no matter how bad he might seem because of the appointments the next president will make to the Supreme Court. Trump will appoint “good” judges who will protect our liberties and preserve the Constitution, but Hillary Clinton will appoint horrible judges who will shred the Constitution – so conventional Republican thinking goes.

The problem is Republicans don’t exactly have a sterling record when it comes to SCOTUS appointments. More than that, this whole line of thinking assumes the Supreme Court can somehow be salvaged to serve the Constitution.

In this episode of Thoughts from Maharrey Head, I explain why the I don’t think Supreme Court nominations are a legitimate reason to vote for Trump.
