Massachusetts Committee Holds Hearing on Bill to Expand Raw Milk Sales Despite Federal Prohibition Scheme

The legislation would expand raw milk sales in the state by allowing farmers to deliver raw milk to the consumer provided the farmer has a direct, contractual relationship with the consumer. Under current Massachusetts law, raw milk can only be sold directly to the consumer on the site where the milk was produced.

Signed by the Governor: Montana Law Expands Right to Try Act

Gov. Greg Gianforte signed a bill into law that significantly expands the state’s  current “Right to Try” law, setting the foundation to nullify in practice additional Food and Drug Administration (FDA) rules that deny access to experimental treatments to patients in Montana.

Texas House Passes Bill to Ban State Enforcement of Some Federal Rules and Regulations on Oil and Gas Production

The proposed law would prohibit any state agency or its employees from contracting with or providing assistance “to a federal agency or official with respect to the enforcement of a federal statute, order, rule, or regulation purporting to regulate oil and gas operations” if it does not exist under the laws of Texas.
