Cop Gets Six Months For Killing Mackala Ross and Delores Epps

“Former Memphis police officer Alex Beard was speeding to a call with no siren when he rammed into a car, killing 13-year-old Mackala Ross and her mother, Delores Epps, age 53. Mackala’s father, Michael Ross, was severely injured, but survived the crash. This week the former officer was offered a plea deal by prosecutors: six months in jail. Mr. Ross said the sentence was like a ‘slap in my face.’ The prosecutor said ‘this was the best that could be done.’ Hmm. The above photo is Mackala’s school locker where her classmates made a little memorial.” Continue reading

Teen arrested for using app to “shoot” his classmates with a cellphone

“Police arrested a 15-year-old high-schooler Thursday in Louisiana for ‘terrorizing’ his classmates with a phone app that edits video to make them appear as though they are being gunned down. Terrebonne Parish sheriff’s Capt. Dawn Foret told the Lafourche Daily Comet that the H.L. Bourgeois High School student, used a phone app called ‘The Real Strike’ to superimpose video game style guns on video from an iPhone and similar devices. Legal loophole allows new belt-fed AR-15 that sprays bullets

“A new belt-fed AR-15 military-style assault rifle can fire rounds as fast as fully-automatic machine guns — and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) says that a legal loophole means that the gun is perfectly legal in the United States. CNN reported this week that Texas-based Slide Fire’s new SFS BFR semiautomatic rifle would be available this fall for $6,000. The weapon can potentially hold thousands of rounds of ammunition because it is fed by a belt instead of a traditional magazine. And according to Shooting Times, the company’s special stock uses the rifle’s recoil to trigger the next round, resulting in a possible fire rate of 800 rounds per minute.” Continue reading

Betcha This Government Is Learning To Fear Its Serfs

“Following their tremendous victory in ousting two of Colorado’s dictators, the Basic Freedom Defense Fund (BFDF) and Pueblo Freedoms and Rights (PFR) have drawn a bead on more tyrants. They’re ‘polling all Colorado legislators to gauge their support for repealing the very gun laws at the heart of the recalls.’ The tone of the questionnaire these folks are sending politicians is especially heartening: polite but insistent, courteous but commanding. From between the lines leaps the warning, ‘Answer this, and do it before our deadline of Sept. 30, because if you don’t, we’ll eject you from your cushy position, too.’ So refreshing to see taxpayers dictating to the leeches rather than the other way around! ” Continue reading

Is It Time to Feel Sorry for the President and other Obamacare Supporters?

“It must not be fun having to explain to people that their private financial and medical information will now be in the hands of some of the least competent people in America. Or imagine what it must be like when some of your biggest allies start complaining about the law. Such as union bosses. Or government bureaucrats. And what about stories about cost overruns. And how about all the bad news about limited choice in the infamous Obamacare exchanges. Or rising insurance costs. Our privacy will be compromised, our choices will be limited, our costs will increase, and the government will squander more of our money. All for a law that even left-wing groups are learning to despise.” Continue reading
