Atlanta High School Has A Rifle Range

“When the all new North Atlanta High School opens its doors Wednesday, students will have sparkling new facilities including an indoor rifle range. The range was built for the school’s Junior Reserve Officer Training Corp and the rifle team. This isn’t the only on campus rifle range in Atlanta. A school spokesperson said the facility at NAHS is modeled after one already in use at Grady High School. According to Atlanta Public Schools, the program will have an instructor certified by the U.S. Army Cadet Command and the Georgia High School Athletic Association.” Continue reading

America’s Foster Care System: Test Lab For Big Pharma, Cash Cow For Caretakers?

“Of the more than 400,000 children in the U.S. foster care system, it’s estimated that more than 50 percent are on some sort of psychiatric drug. Money is part of the reason. Foster parents are paid more to take care of a child with mental health issues. On average, a foster family earns about $17 a day for taking in a child who needs a basic level of care. But a child who is taking drugs such as antidepressants, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, anxiety medications or anticonvulsant medications is worth around $1,000 a day. And foster parents are not responsible for paying for the medicines, either, as they are covered by Social Security.” Continue reading

1974 PSA Warned of High Tech Surveillance State for Behavior Control

“The clip below is of a public service message warning the public on the growing use of technology and surveillance by government and corporations (though who can really tell the difference these days) to control our lives. Sure, you say. We know all about that. Snowden has conclusively shown us with leaked documentation what our government is doing to us. Ah. But the film was not made last week or even last decade; it was filmed in 1974. Watch and listen. No, really listen. This message isn’t just to warn us about the coming technological surveillance state itself, but how its construct is to be used as a form of behavioral control on a mass scale.” Continue reading

Get Ready for Endless Bogus Terror Alerts

“It didn’t take long for the pushback following outrage over revelations that we live in an all-encompassing high-tech Stasi police state. Edward Snowden made his revelations known exactly two months ago today . The government has responded by concocting yet another vague and unsubstantiated terror threat it describes as the most serious since the September 11 attacks. The latest terror alert is a precursor of things to come.” Continue reading

Secret Service: Contact Us to ‘Report a Tweet’

“On a day when terror threats continued to dominate the U.S. headlines, the Secret Service — a division of the Homeland Security Department since 2003 — tweeted the following message: ‘Contact your nearest field office with time-sensitive or critical info or to report a tweet,’ said one message. In a separate tweet on Tuesday morning, the Secret Service asked, ‘Have you seen any of our Most Wanted?’ This tweet links to a list of suspects, most wanted for theft or fraud. None are listed as suspected terrorists. As of Tuesday morning, the Secret Service had more than 67,000 followers on Twitter.” Continue reading

Fantasy Dream: Easy Retirement (If You Have $1 Million).

“MarketWatch is a conventional website. It runs financial news. It also runs articles on investing. This one caught my eye. ‘How to make your nest egg last over 40 years.’ That sounds good! I read it. The article says you can achieve this goal. But you will need at least $2 million. A million won’t get the job done. The point is this: a journalist in a major financial magazine shows that there is no easy retirement, even if you have $1 million at 65. But hardly anyone does. Then how will people afford retirement? They can’t. Do most people understand this? They will move in with their kids. Are the kids ready for this? No. Are the kids in debt? Yes.” Continue reading

American Cops Don’t Belong in Canada

“The United States protects, obsessively, their sovereignty. But here in Canada, armed American police officers will now be able to stop Canadians, in Canada, inspecting, checking and asking questions. Again, the Conservatives will tell us that an armed American cop in Canada is all about trade, jobs and security, not sovereignty. If this is true, then can we not expect to see Mounties stopping Americans on the Buffalo side? Harper did promise though that when he’s done, we won’t recognize Canada. Perhaps we can all reminiscence about that when stopped and questioned by an American police officer, in our own country.” Continue reading

CNN’s Sanjay Gupta apologizes for misleading Americans about marijuana

“CNN’s Sanjay Gupta, a neurosurgeon, apologized on Wednesday for publicly opposing marijuana legalization, saying science was clearly on the side of the drug. ‘I think we have been terribly and systematically misled in this country for some time, and I did part of that misleading,’ he told CNN host Piers Morgan. Though studies on marijuana in the United States tended to focus on the drug’s negative effects, Gupta explained, research from across the world had made marijuana’s positive effects clear. He said there was ‘no scientific basis’ to claim marijuana had no medical benefits.” Continue reading
