Italy Confronts Germany, Adding Additional Euro Pressure

"Greece has been relegated to the status of a Third World country, the complicity of German leaders with the ever-inflating ECB is due for a judicial hearing, British leaders are committed to a referendum on whether Britain should pull out of the EU entirely, Spain is broke, Portugal is busted ... and Italian leaders are getting ready to square off with German bankers over 'austerity.' That the euro has not always suffered some breakdown is testimony to the power of its globalist backers. It has, however, bankrupted half of Europe and even the healthier northern half is not happy with what Europe has become and is continuing to become." Continue reading

Is Obamacare About to Kill Hotel Room Service?

"In August, the New York Hilton Midtown, in the heart of Manhattan, will discontinue food and drink service to all 2,000 of its rooms. In its place will be a new self-service Herb n’ Kitchen stocked with grab-and-go items. A spokesman for the hotel, which is part of the chain that also operates the Waldorf, cited declining demand for room service as the reason; some hotel industry experts see the elimination of the labor-intensive amenity as a way for the chain to save money." Keynesians Use Thomas Edison’s Advice For Destruction

"Thomas Edison is known to have said the following: 'I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.' Unfortunately, instead of Keynesians admitting defeat (like they should have at least 40 years ago) they're gonna go all Thomas Edison on us. This 'experiment' turns out to be nothing new at all, but the same old same old. So welcome Japanese citizens to the world of being a lab rat. We Americans have been poked and prodded ourselves for many years, and appreciate your company. Failed ideas die hard (e.g. Marx's ideas died hard). Unfortunately, the mad scientist Keynesians will refuse to give up until economic law forces them." Continue reading

The Next Big Thing in Cardiology

"The innovative procedure allows for the installation of an artificial heart valve by means of a catheter. The catheter is inserted into an artery that is accessed through a small incision in either the patient's groin or chest. It is then snaked through the artery until it reaches the heart and delivers the attached artificial valve for implantation. TAVR not only avoids the need to open the chest wall, it can also minimize complications associated with general anesthesia, since TAVR can be performed under local anesthesia. What was a six-hour open-heart operation plus two weeks in the hospital is reduced to about a two-hour procedure." Continue reading

Politicians, Staff Threaten To Quit Over Obamacare Exchange Mandate

"I had some fun back in April when I noted that politicians and staff on Capitol Hill were getting very agitated about having to be part of Obamacare. Well, it seems that the way the law applies to them is so costly that many of them are thinking about calling it quits. Here are some of the heartbreaking details. Because of sloppy legislative language in Obamacare, it appears that the politicians and Hill staffers will have to pay for health insurance with after-tax dollars out of their own pockets. If things get too hard for those blokes and gals, maybe the powers that be on the Hill can re-hire the grief counselors who were put on the payroll after the 2010 elections." Continue reading

De-Postal Monopoly: Feinstein’s Sweetheart’s Deal

"Senator Diane Feinstein is married to the CEO of the largest commercial real estate services firm in the U.S. The U.S. Postal Service is going bust, because it can no longer compete. It has a monopoly, but it’s market is shrinking. The U.S.P.S. is selling off 41 post offices and 11 other properties. Always before, it hired multiple firms to do this. That made sense. Real estate is local. It has over 500 more properties scheduled for sale. This time, the U.S.P.S. awarded an exclusive contract to one firm to unload these post offices. Amazing as it may seem, Feinstein’s husband’s firm got the contract. It was just one of those things, just one of those crazy things." Continue reading

Mission Accomplished: China Gets Half of Iraq’s Oil.

"You may remember the promise of the neocons in 2003: America’s war with Iraq would be paid for by Iraqi oil. Besides, the war would cost only $50 billion — $60 billion, tops. The war cost $2.2 trillion — $3 trillion, tops — and the oil is being gobbled up by China. The story of how China is buying almost half of Iraq’s oil has not gotten much attention. It does not seem to be consistent with President Bush’s war aims. But that’s how the fortune cookie crumbles. The war cost the Chinese government nothing. It is now using its newly printed counterfeit money to buy the oil that it could not legally buy under the Clinton Administration’s oil export restrictions on Iraq." Continue reading

Mali to Ban Native Gold Mining … Was Jim Willie Right About French Gold Seizures?

"The French not so long ago invaded the impoverished African country of Mali. This invasion was said to have been caused by French concern that Al Qaeda mercenaries from Libya (also destabilized by the French, Americans, NATO, etc.) were finding sanctuary and beginning a further destabilization. If this report by RT is correct, Willie's suspicions look to have been confirmed. Under guise of concern about local mining and lack of taxes, the Mali 'government' has decided to shut down the industry in favor of broad, outside prospecting. Swiss surveyors and other representatives of international mining firms are arriving in Mali to take over from the locals." Continue reading

Perverted Judge Perverts Judgment With Pre-Signed Blank Arrest Warrants

"Michael Henderson, a former captain in the Murray County, Georgia Sheriff’s Office, has pleaded guilty to obstruction and witness tampering by retaliating against a woman who filed a complaint against a local judge. Henderson and a deputy sheriff staged a pretext traffic stop on a vehicle in which Mrs. Garmley was a passenger, a conspiracy to retaliate against Mrs. Garmley by planting methamphetamine in a small metal container hidden on the underside of the vehicle. Charges against them were dropped shortly after Judge Cochrane was forced to resign. In his letter of resignation, Cochrane admitted that he had illegally pre-signed blank warrants for police officers." Continue reading

Canada: City To Pay $200k For Photo Radar Propaganda Campaign

"City leaders in Winnipeg, Canada are afraid photo radar opponents are winning the debate over the effectiveness of automated enforcement. The city has put a $200,000 contract out for bid for any company that can come up with a three-year plan to boost the public's perception of speed cameras. Last year, the city generated $8,619,966 in revenue through 73,293 speed camera tickets and 8,331 red light camera tickets. Affiliated Computer Services (which is now Xerox) has a contract to run the automated ticketing program through the year 2020." Continue reading
