And since California voters approved a new 13.3 percent top tax rate last November, I expect the gap to become even wider. Simply stated, California is the France of America and Texas is the Cayman Islands of America. "Lawmakers in Racine, Wisconsin voted yesterday to ban concealed weapons in city-owned buildings — except for themselves. The ordinance passed by a vote of 9 to 5 yesterday (April 3, 2013), but drew criticism from council members and area residents. 'When you deprive us of a constitutional right but then turn around and give it to yourselves – that is incomprehensible,' Racine resident Gary Dulek said. "County officials in southwest Ireland have voted to loosen drunk driving restrictions for certain older, rural constituents. The BBC reported that county councilors in Kerry County, Ireland have backed legislation that would allow police to issue citations exempting certain drivers from normal restrictions on driving under the influence. Councillor Danny Healy-Rae, the motion’s sponsor, said the law is intended to apply to 'older people' who 'are being isolated now at home, and a lot of them falling into depression.'"
