Heated exchange after Baton Rouge cop pulls over fellow officer driving recklessly

"In the video, off-duty BRPD officer David Stewart pulls over a swerving white pickup truck that he says was doing more than twice the 45 mph speed limit. The stop happened on Juban Road in Livingston Parish. Stewart said he pulled the vehicle over and contacted the Livingston Parish Sheriff's department because he thought the driver may be impaired or having a 'road rage' fit. However, after the driver, Cpl. Brian Harrison, identified himself as a Baton Rouge police officer, the dash-mounted camera in Stewart's vehicle then captured a heated 4-minute exchange between the two men." Continue reading

Government Trained Killer with 2,746 Confirmed Kills: “They’re just another pencil mark.”

"With 2,746 confirmed kills, Sgt. 1st Class Dillard Johnson is the deadliest American soldier on record[...] 'It’s sort of sad to say, but they’re just another pencil mark,' Johnson told The Post, referring to his journal notations. 'I didn’t think of the numbers . . . That’s not a boast I would make[...] He counted the dead by tallying rifles — and human heads — among the mangled or charred wreckage left behind[...] His past never haunts him. 'I killed when I needed to . . . I was brutal when I needed to be, but I was compassionate when I needed to be,' he said.[...]" Continue reading

Police Chief Mark Kessler: Academy trains officers to treat everyone like a criminal

"'When I go through the police academy, they treat everyone that you come in contact with is a criminal. Everyone with a firearm is out to kill you. That's what they teach us at the academy.' He continued, 'I have a real hard time swallowing that.' 'That's why you have all these young police officers that graduate from these academies and they come out and they want to kick butt and take names, and ruin lives, over nonsense. They terrorize people over a turn signal, or having a brake light out. They want to search your car right away, they want to demonize the American people, the average citizen, the law-abiding citizen.'" Continue reading

Shortly thereafter, loud boos can be heard coming from the audience after she said former NSA contractor Edward Snowden 'did violate the law' in releasing details about NSA programs like PRISM. Pelosi also defended President Barack Obama against charges that the surveillance of private residents’ phone and internet use constituted a 'fourth term' for his predecessor, George W. Bush." What Cop T-Shirts Tell Us About Police Culture

"The Village Voice reports that the quote was also printed on t-shirts worn by NYPD's infamous Street Crimes Unit, which was disbanded after shooting unarmed immigrant Amadou Diallo 41 times in 1999 as Diallo reached for his wallet. The Voice also reports that at least two NYPD police commissioners have used the phrase 'hunter of men' to describe police work -- Bernard Kerik and Howard Safir. There have been a number of other incidents over the years in which cops have donned t-shirts that reflect a mentality someone less lofty than 'protect and serve.'" Continue reading

7-Year-Old Aiyana Stanley’s Home-Invasion Murderer Walks Free, Since He’s A Cop

"Joseph Weekly, who shot 7-year-old Aiyana Stanley-Jones in the head during a home invasion on May 17, 2010, is free after a jury deadlocked. Nobody disputes that Weekly was the killer, or that Aiyana was an entirely innocent victim. Weekly was exonerated by virtue of the fact that his home invasion crew bore the insignia of the criminal syndicate that claims a monopoly on the legitimate use of force within Detroit. The Detroit Police Department’s Special Reaction Team (SRT) staged a midnight raid on the home where Aiyana was sleeping. This was done entirely for the benefit of a camera crew from a cable 'Reality TV' show called 'The First 48.'" Continue reading
