Did the Southern Poverty Law Center Instigate an Attempted Murder?

"The man arrested for shooting a security guard at the Family Research Council headquarters in Washington, D.C. has said in court that he got the idea by reading the Southern Poverty Law Center's 'Hate Map.' Interestingly, every time there's a multiple shooting the Southern Poverty Law Center is the first to spread the (baseless) rumor in the media that the shooter is 'thought to have links to right-wing hate groups.' There is no group of individuals more devoted to spreading hate and intolerance than the Southern Poverty Law Center. Their schtick is to label anyone who disagrees with their left-wing extremism as a 'hate group' or 'linked to' a hate group." Continue reading

Tax disclosure report reveals ‘minnows’ paid penalties of as much as 129x tax owed

"Thousands of middle-class immigrants and emigrants owed Uncle Sam less than three hundred dollars of back taxes per year, and for that the IRS put them through a nightmare involving tens of thousands of dollars of penalties and lawyers fees, and threats of criminal charges and jail time if they dared to exercise their right to opt out. This is not tax collection; this is asset confiscation, plain and simple. This of course won’t matter at all to Homelanders, who will continue screaming for traitorous emigrants to be stripped of all their assets and thrown into jail over two and three digit annual income tax deficiencies." Michael Scheuer: The Idea That They’re Attacking Us Because Of Our Freedom Is Insane

"We should have went to Afghanistan and won the war. We went to Afghanistan, spent 13 years and got chased out by guys with weapons from the Korean War. The Islamists started this war, they explained to us as clearly as General Giap and Ho Chi Minh explained to us why they were fighting us and we have ignored it. Mrs. Clinton has ignored it, Bill Clinton, George Bush, Barack Obama. The idea that they're attacking us because of our culture is insane. We are now waging a war against them culturally. We're trying to impose democracy, women's rights, parliamentary systems on a people who don't want it. They're going to fight that." Continue reading

New Jersey Governor Imposes Red Light Camera Freeze

"Chris Christie has gone from red light camera proponent to active photo ticketing opponent in a matter of months. On Thursday, the state Department of Transportation (NJDOT) announced there will be no new red light cameras installed in the Garden State with the notice specifically mentioning it was the political decision of the 'Christie Administration.' Less than nine months ago, Christie had backed red light cameras. Data from the first year of camera use show a spike in the number of injury-causing and severe accidents. The results ran counter to the promise that photo ticketing reduces 'more dangerous' angle collisions." Continue reading

The Corruption of Capitalism in America Excerpt: Chapter 17, Serial Bubbles

"Never before in history had the nation's financial system been pummeled by two gigantic bubbles and two devastating crashes in such a brief interval. That Greenspan's heir apparent managed to detect the Great Moderation at the midpoint of this cycle of financial violence was only added testimony to the degree to which monetary policy had become unhinged. It was no longer plausible, therefore, to describe the New York Stock Exchange, NASDAQ, and the various venues for equity derivatives as a free market for raising and trading equity capital issues. Instead, they were violently unstable casinos, ineptly stage-managed by a central bank." Continue reading

Again, Reuters Compares Central Bankers to Superheroes!

"Another day, another editorial in Reuters about central banking superheroes. Are you convinced yet that this is a dominant social theme? And how exactly does this work? Is it coincidence? Do all the Reuters columnists sit down in a room together and decide that they will write editorials, serially, comparing central bankers to Superman? Lord, help us. Good things come in threes, and since this is the second article in a week comparing bankers to superheroes, we expect at least one more." Continue reading

Rep. Barbara Lee: Repeal AUMF to stop ‘this state of perpetual war’

"Rep. Barbara Lee (D-CA) on Wednesday called for the Authorization for Use of Military Force (AUMF) to be repealed. 'I’m convinced that if we do not repeal this authorization to use force that I voted against in 2001, we are going to see this state of perpetual war forever,' she told Current TV’s John Fugelsang. Congress approved the AUMF just days after the September 11 terrorist attacks, giving the President authority to wage war 'against those nations, organizations, or persons he determines planned, authorized, committed, or aided the terrorist attacks.' Lee was the only member of Congress to vote against it, describing it as a 'blank check' for war." Continue reading

Snarling, Robotic Police in House-to-House Search

"There is no question of anyone giving on-the-spot consent to a search when an occupant is facing a dozen men with rifles and guns pointing at him or her. The reporter describes the police searches as 'terrifying', as in police terror. Such searches are non-consensual. These police have all been trained to act robotically to control the people and intimidate them. They have been programmed. They will point the guns at a woman with a baby as readily as at someone who looks like their suspect. They will make everyone obey. The reporter says that people were not allowed back into their homes but left on the street for 14-15 hours." Continue reading

Michael Scheuer: U.S. leaders’ fingerprints are on the detonators

"While the Tsarnaev brothers apparently conducted the Marathon bombings in Boston, the detonators of those bombs also have the fingerprints of most Democratic and Republican politicians all over them, and those men and women are in a measure responsible for each and every one of the Boston casualties. Why? Because once again it is blatantly obvious from the evidence the authorities have presented to date that the attackers were motivated by what the U.S. government does in the Muslim world and not because of our freedoms, liberties, and gender equality." Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is American

"He is described as 'Russian' or 'Chechen.' In fact he is American. Even though the Framers of the Constitution meant protections provided therein to be applicable to 'all persons' it is nevertheless all the more chilling that the most vicious of the anti-American neo-conservatives are calling for him to be denied any protections of the US Constitution under which he became a US citizen. As Ron Paul has long argued, hundreds of individuals who carry out such heinous acts as these have been successfully tried in the US court system with all the protections therein, have nevertheless been convicted of their crimes, and now serve long prison terms."
