"Is the government spying on Americans legal and lawful under the Constitution? Perhaps you’ve delegated that decision to the 'experts', but my advice is go check it yourself. See the Amendments that cover being secure in your papers and effects. The Constitution isn’t a hard read, although there are many that want to pretend words don’t mean what they obviously mean. You are naïve to expect some politician or bureaucrat will protect your ownership interests, also known as rights. It’s truly up to you to carefully read the contract between you and the government and to verify that the government is living up to its part of the bargain. "A police officer without suspicion, assaulted me with a deadly weapon and ordered me to disarm, then stole my weapon. This is mafia behavior and I will not tolerate it. Every Friday we go out and exercise our right to free assembly and protest the government. We call it #ForLibertyFridays. Usually we gather on a street corner during rush hour traffic and waive signs and flags. Some of us open carry rifles and side arms too. Florida Police Jail Man For Petitioning Against Red Light Cameras

"'As I was approaching him, I read 'BAN CAMS' on the sign he was wearing,' Officer Campbell wrote. 'He was holding a large stack of papers... I asked him if he had a permit to protest the red light cameras, and he said no.' At this point, Officer Campbell asked for Schmidter's identification. Since he was not driving, the man explained he was not carrying any. The officer then asked for his name and date of birth. Schmidter declined to do so unless the officer could show him what law he had violated. Officer Campbell said he did not have to do that. Lawsuit against police over Radio Shack strip search settled

"The settlement, signed by Mitchell in August and approved by the City Council last week, releases the city and the officers from any further claims by Mitchell. The city also maintains the settlement is not an admission of any wrongdoing. It also includes a confidentiality clause. In May 2009, Mitchell alleged he was pulled over in the shopping center parking lot, ordered out of the car at gunpoint and handcuffed. He said he was taken into Radio Shack where the police pulled off his shorts and underwear, searching for drugs. No drugs were found." Continue reading →

Sheriff defies NY Safe Act; will not release pistol permit holders’ names

"Cayuga County Sheriff David Gould said he has no intention of releasing names and addresses of pistol permit holders as required under the NY SAFE Act legislation. The gun control law states that the name and address of a pistol permit holder 'shall be a public record' unless the holder files an opt-out form with the county sheriff's office. But Gould said the requirement intruded on law-abiding gun owners' privacy while helping the bad guys. His comments came a week after Oswego County Sheriff Reuel Todd joined a lawsuitto declare the SAFE Act unconstitutional, citing its bans on certain guns classified as assault weapons and ammunition magazines with too many rounds." "The Illinois Supreme Court today ruled unanimously that a section of state gun law violated the constitutional right to keep and bear arms, and affirmed that this right extends outside the home. The ruling constitutes another victory for gun rights in a state that was, until the ruling by the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals in SAF’s Moore v. Madigan case, the last holdout on concealed carry. The federal court had given Illinois lawmakers 180 days to fix it, and many were dragged kicking and screaming into adopting carry statute earlier this summer. The case of Illinois v.
