18 Little-Known Gun Facts That Prove That Guns Make Us Safer

"The reality is that criminals really, really, really don’t want to get shot. When you pass strict gun control laws, you take the fear of getting shot away and criminals tend to flourish. Just look at what is going on in America today. The places with the highest crime rates are the major cities where strict gun control laws have been passed. In some of those cities the police are so overwhelmed that they have announced that they simply won’t even bother responding to certain kinds of crime anymore. The truth is that the government cannot protect us adequately. The following are 18 little-known gun facts that prove that guns make us safer…" Continue reading

‘Run and hide’ is Obama administration’s clever plan for next school shooting

"The U.S. Department of Education’s 'live-shooter' section doesn’t recommend that schools arm teachers or employ armed guards. It doesn’t even advise schools to add door locks for classrooms. Instead, the section counsels teachers and students to 'run,' 'hide' and then 'fight' — but only 'if neither running nor hiding is a safe option.' Arne Duncan, the Secretary of Education, does not explain how this guidance differs from the very unsuccessful actions attempted by the 26 victims of Adam Lanza, the lone gunman who attacked Sandy Hook Elementary School. Twenty of those victims were children who were six and seven years old." Continue reading

Repealing the Anti-gun ObamaCare Law

"Seventy-three percent of the American public don’t want to be straddled with the onerous requirements imposed by this law. To be sure, gun owners have opposed ObamaCare since its inception, given that a national health database could be used by federal bureaucrats to disarm millions of law-abiding Americans. The use of medical data has already been used to disarm gun owners in New York -- and has led to more than 150,000 military veterans losing their gun rights for ailments such as PTSD. Well now, Congress has a wonderful opportunity to do away with this law." Continue reading

Rand Paul: The President Doesn’t Get To Write Legislation, It’s Illegal And Unconstitutional

"Paul said, 'I think we all want more people to have insurance. What my fear is is that he's going to make insurance so expensive that the people who currently have insurance may lose their insurance.' The senator sounded off on reports that another provision of ObamaCare would be delayed, blasting the president for changes laws without Congress' approval. 'The president doesn't get to write legislation, and it's illegal and unconstitutional for him to try and change legislation by himself,' he said." Continue reading

Obamacare: “Let’s Just Make Sure It’s Not A Third World Experience”

"We begin today by checking our premises: In order to imagine something working forever, it must begin to work in the first place. When asked last Friday about what the future holds for the Affordable Care Act, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said, 'What we’ve done with Obamacare is a step in the right direction, but we’re far from having something that’s going to work forever.' The law takes full effect Jan. 1, 2014, and the online exchanges launch on Oct. 1, 2013. But lofty expectations are being played down as logistical problems become worse and worse." Continue reading

‘Affordable’ Care: $1 Pay Hike Costs Middle-Class Family $9,355 Hike in Premiums

"When the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (AKA Obamacare) is fully enforced on individuals and families next year, a middle-aged, middle-class couple with three children could be hit with a $9,355 hike in their annual health-insurance premiums if their annual household income happens to increase by just $1. According to the IRS, which responded to a CNSNews.com inquiry on the issue, a household earning an annual income that is just $1 more than 400 percent of the FPL is ineligible for an Obamacare subsidy, period. A family of four, in which both parents were 56 years old, would hit the 400-percent of FPL threshold at $94,200." Continue reading

Don’t Eat These, Ever: What’s in Your Condiments?

"Condiments are usually given a free ride because, well, it’s only a spoonful. They’re typically overlooked, or brushed off as “harmless,” or eaten in such small quantities that their effects seem negligible. Condiments can make bland foods taste better and good foods taste great. But they can also turn an otherwise nutritious meal into a metabolic nightmare, one tablespoon at a time. Small, frequent doses of potentially harmful ingredients can be far from benign, having a cumulative biological effect. In fact, there is scientific evidence that more significant health effects may occur at low doses than high, especially for hormone-disrupting chemicals." Continue reading

Illinois illegally seizes bees resistant to Roundup; kills remaining queens [2012]

"The Illinois Ag Dept. illegally seized privately owned bees from renowned naturalist, Terrence Ingram, without providing him with a search warrant and before the court hearing on the matter. Behind the obvious violations of his Constitutional rights is Monsanto. Ingram was researching Roundup’s effects on bees, which he’s raised for 58 years. 'They ruined 15 years of my research,' he told Prairie Advocate, by stealing most of his stock. Of note, Illinois beekeepers are going underground after Ingram’s experience and refuse to register their hives, in case the state tries to steal their private property on phony claims." The Fox (Monsanto) Buys the Chicken Coop (Beeologics)

"Why would one of the largest purveyors of pesticides, genetically engineered seeds and agrochemicals want to buy a company which has been seeking solutions to the escalating threats to the world bee population? The root of the problem, however, may not be the virus targeted by Remembee, but the herbicides and insecticides that agro-chemical giants like Monsanto, Dow and Bayer have themselves been hawking to farmers around the world. This is the conclusion of three recent studies which implicate a class of pesticides known as 'neonics' which coat a massive 142 million acres of corn, wheat, soy and cotton seeds in the U.S. alone." "Former Mexican President Vicente Fox met with cannabis advocates in San Francisco to announce the formation of an international partnership dedicated to decriminalizing and regulating pot. Fox has emerged as one of the most prominent voices pushing for marijuana legalization, publicly stating that he would grow the plant himself if he could. 'The cost of the war is becoming unbearable,' Fox said during a press conference announcing the alliance, noting that each day, 40 young people are killed in Mexico due to drug-related violence."
