A bill introduced in the Indiana House would legalize medical marijuana in the state despite ongoing federal cannabis prohibition. The bill would also prohibit state cooperation with federal law enforcement officials seeking to enforce federal laws that criminalize the use of marijuana authorized in Indiana.

Retail Marijuana Sales Begin in Connecticut Despite Federal Cannabis Prohibition

As of today, adults 21 and over can buy up to .25 ounces of cannabis flower or its equivalent per transaction at licensed hybrid retailers licensed for medical and recreational sales. State regulators say those limits “will be reviewed over time, and are in place to ensure businesses are able to maintain adequate supply for both adult-use consumers and medical marijuana patients.”

Missouri Bill Would Ban Release of Medical Marijuana Registry Information to Feds

The proposed law would make it a felony for a state agency or state employee to disclose any personally identifying information of persons who have applied for or obtained a qualifying medical marijuana patient identification card, patient cultivation identification card, or primary caregiver identification card to the federal government or any federal employee, or another unauthorized third party.

Minnesota Bill Would Legalize Marijuana For Adult Use Despite Federal Prohibition

The bill would legalize cannabis by allowing adults 21 and older to purchase up to two ounces, and grow up to eight plants. Under the proposal, adults would also be able to possess two ounces in public and privately keep five pounds of cannabis at home.

Kentucky Bill Would Legalize Marijuana Despite Federal Cannabis Prohibition

HB48 would add a section to the state constitution making it an explicit right for anyone above the age of 21 to possess, consume, buy, and sell up to one ounce of marijuana. They would also be guaranteed the right to grow, collect, and store up to five marijuana plants.

Texas Bill Would Legalize Marijuana For Adult Use Despite Federal Prohibition

The bill would create programs to license and regulate the possession, cultivation and distribution of marijuana for personal use. Adults 21 years of age or older would be allowed to possess up to 2.5 ounces of cannabis as well as cultivate up to 12 cannabis plants for personal use. The bill would also create a regulatory framework and licensure for commercial cultivation and retail sales of cannabis.

Illinois Bill Would Legalize Psilocybin Despite Federal Prohibition

the legislation would remove psilocybin from the state's list of control substances, in effect making it fully legal under state law for personal possession and consumption. Passage of the bill would also set up a state psilocybin advisory board within the Department of Public Health that would oversee a legal and regulatory structure to establish psilocybin service centers for treating patients and for the commercial production of psilocybin.
