Iowa Bill Would Repeal Capital Gains Taxes on Gold and Silver Bullion

The proposed law would exclude capital gains and losses from the sale of bullion, coins, or currency from income for the purpose of calculating state income taxes. The bill defines "bullion" as bars, ingots, or commemorative medallions of gold, silver, platinum, and palladium where the value depends on its contents, not its form.
