$652 million project ‘GENIE’: U.S. conducted 231 ‘offensive cyberoperations’

"The revelation is based on a classified intelligence budget provided to the paper by fugitive leaker Edward Snowden, as well as on interviews. Under a $652 million project code-named 'GENIE,' US specialists hack foreign computer networks to secretly put them under American control. This involves placing 'covert implants' in computers, routers and firewalls, it said, adding that by year’s end 'GENIE' is projected to control at least 85,000 'malware' plug-ins in machines around the globe. US intelligence services make 'routine use' of government-constructed malware around the globe that 'differs little in function from the ‘advanced persistent threats’ that US officials attribute to China.'" The Syria vote: Britain’s new mood

""There is no evidence that British public opinion has turned isolationist. There is plenty of evidence that it is fed up with the debilitating post 9/11 years of national sacrifice, with the humiliating excesses of US national security policy (not least its abuses of human rights and surveillance), with the unequal burden-sharing among allies and, above all, with the failures of policy. Iraq casts a very long, very dark shadow. As a result, right from the start of its spiralling civil war, Syria has felt like a sacrifice too far. When the latest call to arms came, though it came from a respected American president and was provoked by clearly intolerable war crimes, the answer was a clear one. Enough." Continue reading

It’s Official: New OVDP program designed for Swiss Banks

"The U.S. is clearly on a mission to confiscate assets throughout the world. In the beginning, there was OVDP for individuals. Now we have OVDP for banks. Coming soon, OVDP for financial advisors. Soon, we will all become Whistleblowers. The solution to this is for the U.S. to simply absorb all the other sovereign nations of the world. Once we become one country, there will be no more 'offshore accounts'. But, how would fines be imposed then? Conclusion and message to U.S. citizens abroad … You better enter OVDP before your bank does!" Continue reading

Obama slams ‘incapacity’ of UN Security Council on Syria

"US President Barack Obama on Friday slammed the 'incapacity' of the UN Security Council to act on Syria and warned the world must not be 'paralyzed' on responding to a chemical weapons attack. 'What we have seen so far at least is an incapacity at this point for the Security Council to move forward in the face of a clear violation of international norms,' Obama said, as he met Baltic leaders at the White House Obama said he understood that there was widespread war fatigue both in the United States, Britain and elsewhere, but that did not absolve nations of their responsibilities." The Syria Endgame: Strategic Stage in the Pentagon’s Covert War on Iran

"Regime change in Damascus is not the only or main way for the US and its allies to prevent Syria from standing with Iran. Destabilizing Syria and neutralizing it as a failed and divided state is the key. Sectarian fighting is not a haphazard outcome of the instability in Syria, but an assisted project that the US and its allies have steadily fomented with a clear intent to balkanize the Syrian Arab Republic. Regionally, Israel above all other states has a major stake in securing this outcome. The Israelis actually have several publicly available documents, including the Yinon Plan, which outline that the destruction of Syria into a series of smaller sectarian states is one of their strategic objectives." Iraq war killed 120,000 and cost $800 billion, study estimates

"At least 116,000 Iraqi civilians and more than 4,800 coalition troops died in Iraq between the outbreak of war in 2003 and the US withdrawal in 2011, researchers estimate. Its involvement in Iraq has so far cost the United States $810 billion (625 billion euros) and could eventually reach $3 trillion, they added. 'More than 31,000 US military personnel were injured and a substantial percentage of those deployed suffered post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injury, and other neuropsychological disorders and their concomitant psychosocial problems.'" Rand Paul: ‘I can’t see sending my son to fight on the same side as al Qaeda’

"Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., sharply opposed American military action in Syria on Fox News Thursday night, demanding that President Obama get congressional approval should he choose to act. Paul said that Obama would probably decide against a Congressional vote to avoid a similar defeat as David Cameron did in British Parliamant. Paul also explained that he had difficulty seeing any American interests in the Syrian conflict. Under Sharia law, Paul noted, Christians would be persecuted for blasphemy, citing a woman in Pakistan who was jailed for blasphemy after she drank from a cup shared by Muslim workers. 'That is not something I want to send our boys and girls to die for,' Paul added." Continue reading

What’s Wrong With This Picture?

"Yesterday we learn that a fifth American battleship is now sitting alongside Syria armed with hundreds of Tomahawk missiles aimed at Damascus. So what kind of images does the media bombard us with about civilians preparing to be bombed? People in Israel buying gas masks. What? Huh? Isn’t it the Syrians and not Israel (armed with nukes), who are being threatened? Not a peep from the American media about anyone in Syria anticipating possibly thousands of innocent civilians being ripped apart and murdered by the U.S. government’s 'collateral damage.' Of course, no one in Israel would be wasting his money on gas masks were it not for O-bomb-Ya’s threats to Syria." Continue reading
