Biden Lies about Gun Control, Of Course

"Vice President Joe Biden insists that private ownership of so-called assault weapons should be forbidden because police 'are outgunned on the street by the bad guys and the proliferation of these weapons.' In fact, duty-related deaths of police officers declined in 2012 as compared to the previous year, continuing a decades-long trend. And there wasn’t a single instance in which a police officer was killed by someone using a so-called assault weapon. Many – if not most – of the so-called assault weapons used in crime are stolen from the police. Yet the government continues to send military-grade weaponry to local police departments." “Gun Violence”: The “National Conversation” We Won’t Have

"According to Clarence Dupnik – the craven, dim-witted functionary who presides over the Pima County Sheriff’s Office – about fifty SWAT raids of the kind that led to the murder of Jose Guerena occur within his jurisdiction every year, which is shocking. In Baltimore County, Chief Johnson’s Einsatzgruppen conduct more than 120 attacks of that kind annually, which are among the 1,600 military assaults carried out in Maryland each year, a figure that is genuinely horrifying. Gun-related violence by government-licensed killers is ubiquitous – and it is also a forbidden subject in the 'national conversation' our rulers have orchestrated for their benefit." Thoughts on “Assault Weapons” and “Magazine Limits” from an Actual Gun Expert

"I don’t think American politicians have the same evil motives as some of the world’s most reprehensible dictators, all of whom supported gun control as a way of controlling – and in many cases slaughtering – their people. Indeed, I suspect some of them simply are unaware of the facts that Mr. Correia provides in the article." Continue reading

Four arrested during protest of nudity ban in San Francisco

"Four people were arrest during a protest of San Francisco’s nudity ban, which was passed late last year and went into effect on Feb. 1, reported the Associated Press. Two days ago, a court upheld the ban, explaining that it did not violate the First Amendment: 'In spite of what plaintiffs argue, nudity in and of itself is not inherently expressive.' 'We’re not here to arrest and cite people if we don’t have to,' police officer Albie Esparza told the AP, 'but if we have to, we will.'" Continue reading

Chinese Hackers Could Face Aggressive Action From U.S. Over Cyber Attacks

"The Obama administration is considering more assertive action against Beijing to combat a persistent cyber-espionage campaign it believes Chinese hackers are waging against U.S. companies and government agencies. As The New York Times and Wall Street Journal reported that their computer systems had been infiltrated by China-based hackers, cybersecurity experts said the U.S. government is eyeing more pointed diplomatic and trade measures. The U.S. itself has been named in one of the most prominent cyberattacks — Stuxnet — the computer worm that infiltrated an Iranian nuclear facility, shutting down thousands of centrifuges there in 2010." Decorated Combat Veteran Arrested: Charged With 5 Felonies For Possession of AR Magazines

"On Sunday January 6th Staff Sgt. Nathan Haddad, a decorated combat veteran, was driving through Jefferson County New York when he was randomly pulled over for a vehicle check. Haddad, who had five 30 round empty magazines in his possession, was arrested by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department and charged with five felony counts. According to Haddad’s brother, Michael Haddad, Nathan thought these magazines were legally made before the New York Assault Weapons Ban. When Nathan Haddad was arrested the new ban had not even been fully enacted yet." Continue reading

Grandmother sues city, police department over flash grenade incident

"A 68-year-old Evansville woman, who was at home with her granddaughter last June when police in SWAT gear tossed in flash grenades into her home and forced their way inside to serve a warrant, has filed a lawsuit against the city and the Evansville Police Department. After damaging the house, handcuffing the woman and her granddaughter and seizing their computers and a cellphone in a search for evidence about threatening Internet posts, it was later determined that someone remotely accessed the home’s wireless Internet connection and the Milans were not involved." Still no list of Q4 2012 ex-Americans in the Federal Register

"If you, I, or any other U.S. person abroad fails to report some information to the U.S. government under Chapter 61, Subchapter A, Part II, Subpart A of the Internal Revenue Code, we might have to pay the U.S. government tens of thousands of dollars of fines, regardless of the actual underlying tax deficiency. If the U.S. government fails to report some information to us under the exact same Subpart, we get zip. So don’t get too excited when you hear that today’s Federal Register is missing something; after all, it’s only the ninth time in sixteen quarters that Timothy Franz Geithner has violated this single provision of the law of the land."
