Federal Appeals Court Busts Police For Contempt Of Cop Arrest

"The officers did not say they were looking for a white Dodge, and asked Petithomme to produce identification and for permission to search her vehicle. Petithomme refused the search. On a third request for identification, Petithomme asked if she could go inside her home to retrieve it. It was granted, and as soon as she left the officers began searching through the Nissan. She returned and upon being asked a fourth time, she said the license must be in her car. She finally found it. Enraged, Officer Martin arrested Petithomme on the spot, charging her with disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace. The officers said the woman's attitude showed she was 'up to no good.'" Maybe We’ll Reduce the NYPD to Firing Spitballs!

"As a reluctant and endangered resident of New York City, I deeply appreciate those heroes who stand up for my right to defend myself. A number of them work at companies that manufacture or sell guns, and they are boycotting the NYPD! Yes! They have 'pledge[d] not to sell anything to a State or local government agency that can’t be sold to a resident of that state or locality.' Yeehaw! So far, a whopping 95 righteous retailers are onboard! Unfortunately, the three corporations that supply almost all the NYPD's firepower have refused to join their competitors in upholding the Second Amendment: Glock, SIG Sauer, and Smith and Wesson." SWAT ‘automatic assault rifle’ stolen from New Orleans police car

"Deputies in Jefferson Parish says that an 'automatic assault rifle' and other SWAT gear was stolen from a New Orleans Police Department car over the weekend. A Wednesday statement from Sheriff’s office spokesperson Col. John Fortunato said that five vehicles were burglarized in the Audubon Oaks subdivision on Sunday morning before the Super Bowl. The officer 'allegedly broke a departmental Performance of Duty rule by leaving his equipment in the trunk of his vehicle,' according to NOPD spokesperson Remi Braden." Continue reading

Gary Raney: The Slave-Catching Sheriff of Ada County, Idaho

"Give Ada County Sheriff Gary Raney whatever credit is due to him for his candor: Like the other sheriffs who have pledged not to carry out unconstitutional federal gun confiscation measures, Raney receives federal subsidies – but unlike his pro-Second Amendment colleagues, Raney is forthright about the fact that he is merely a servile tool of the federal leviathan state. He will confiscate firearms from innocent people if ordered to, but at least he won’t have to walk back any promises he had made to protect their rights." Continue reading

Forbes: 1.6 Billion Rounds Of Ammo For Homeland Security? It’s Time For A National Conversation

"Homeland Security has issued an open purchase order for 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition. As reported elsewhere, some of this purchase order is for hollow-point rounds, forbidden by international law for use in war, along with a frightening amount specialized for snipers. At the height of the Iraq War the Army was expending less than 6 million rounds a month. Therefore 1.6 billion rounds would be enough to sustain a hot war for 20+ years. In America. Add to this perplexing outré purchase of ammo, DHS now is showing off its acquisition of heavily armored personnel carriers, repatriated from the Iraqi and Afghani theaters of operation." Will Grigg: “No Hesitation”

"Among the training targets are images depicting 'non-traditional threats,' such as pregnant women, children, and grandmotherly women – in other words, 'Little People' – carrying guns. The company’s marketing team explains that the 'non-traditional targets' were created at the request of police officers and trainers, who are seeking to dis-inhibit the killing instincts of police 'when deadly force is required on subjects with atypical age, frailty or condition…. This hesitation time may be only seconds but that is not acceptable when officers are losing their lives in these same situations….'" Continue reading

L.A. County Sheriff’s Department will fire seven deputies who formed gang

"Seven Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies have been notified that the department intends to fire them for belonging to a secret law enforcement clique that allegedly celebrated shootings and branded its members with matching tattoos, officials said. The Times reported last year about the existence of the clique, dubbed the Jump Out Boys, and the discovery of a pamphlet that described the group's creed, which required aggressive policing and awarded tattoo modifications for police shootings."
