Now in Effect: Oregon Law Limits State Participation in Federal Police Militarization Programs
The new law bans state and local law enforcement agencies from receiving certain equipment from military surplus programs operated by the federal government. It also increases oversight and transparency for the acquisition of allowable equipment.
