Libertarian open carry protester vs 6 police officers

"A police officer without suspicion, assaulted me with a deadly weapon and ordered me to disarm, then stole my weapon. This is mafia behavior and I will not tolerate it. Every Friday we go out and exercise our right to free assembly and protest the government. We call it #ForLibertyFridays. Usually we gather on a street corner during rush hour traffic and waive signs and flags. Some of us open carry rifles and side arms too. We have never had any problems whatsoever from the police or Sheriff, who have always known the laws, and only treated us with respect." Continue reading

Open Carry Chicks Hassled by Power Hungry Cop & AR-15

"Four young ladies went for a quick bite to eat in Marshfield Missouri at a local Walmart. Two of them were open carrying not knowing they would be confronted by a Nazi-styled 'show-me-your-papers' local police officer. Of course, they bring out the big guns for these gun-toting 'thugs.'" Legal loophole allows new belt-fed AR-15 that sprays bullets

"A new belt-fed AR-15 military-style assault rifle can fire rounds as fast as fully-automatic machine guns — and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) says that a legal loophole means that the gun is perfectly legal in the United States. CNN reported this week that Texas-based Slide Fire’s new SFS BFR semiautomatic rifle would be available this fall for $6,000. The weapon can potentially hold thousands of rounds of ammunition because it is fed by a belt instead of a traditional magazine. And according to Shooting Times, the company’s special stock uses the rifle’s recoil to trigger the next round, resulting in a possible fire rate of 800 rounds per minute." Continue reading

Rahm Emanuel’s Gun Free Zones

"Chicago is the nation's death-by-gunshot capital. The mayor of Chicago's solution to the problem is to create more 'gun-free zones.' To even the casual observer the commonality among all the tragedies described above is clear ---'gun-free zones.' It seems the only place we see people getting shot up is in 'gun-free zones', so Mr. Mayor please explain, why in the world would we want more of them? There is one mass-shooting incident not appearing on this list, however. That's because it never occurred. On December 9, 2007 at approximately 1:00pm Matt Murray walked into New Life Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado heavily armed and ready to kill as many as he possibly could." Continue reading

Criminals do not need guns

"Even if gun-control laws could actually succeed in keeping firearms from the hands of criminals - a goal they are notoriously ineffective at accomplishing - the reduction to the offensive ability of predators is far less than the loss of defensive capability among the law-abiding. People who devote themselves to a life of crime don't have much trouble becoming far more physically dangerous than the folks they like to victimize. Ordinary people don't have the experience or aptitude for violence that criminals usually bring to the table. Also, the victim is often outnumbered during criminal encounters." Continue reading

High School AP History Book Rewrites 2nd Amendment

"Guyer High School (and obviously several others) are complicit in attempting to condition students to interpret the 2nd Amendment in a clearly opposite manner in which it was intended. This textbook, currently being used by Guyer High School, is attempting to redefine the Second Amendment to impressionable young minds. Parents, you must speak up and demand action. Investigate your child’s history book ASAP, and post more pictures in the comments below. Call your school and demand that revisionist history books like this are removed from the school district." Sheriff defies NY Safe Act; will not release pistol permit holders’ names

"Cayuga County Sheriff David Gould said he has no intention of releasing names and addresses of pistol permit holders as required under the NY SAFE Act legislation. The gun control law states that the name and address of a pistol permit holder 'shall be a public record' unless the holder files an opt-out form with the county sheriff's office. But Gould said the requirement intruded on law-abiding gun owners' privacy while helping the bad guys. His comments came a week after Oswego County Sheriff Reuel Todd joined a lawsuitto declare the SAFE Act unconstitutional, citing its bans on certain guns classified as assault weapons and ammunition magazines with too many rounds." Illinois Supremes issue major affirmation of 2nd Amendment

"The Illinois Supreme Court today ruled unanimously that a section of state gun law violated the constitutional right to keep and bear arms, and affirmed that this right extends outside the home. The ruling constitutes another victory for gun rights in a state that was, until the ruling by the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals in SAF’s Moore v. Madigan case, the last holdout on concealed carry. The federal court had given Illinois lawmakers 180 days to fix it, and many were dragged kicking and screaming into adopting carry statute earlier this summer. The case of Illinois v. Alberto Aguilar challenged a section of the law that prohibited carrying firearms outside the home." Continue reading

Betcha This Government Is Learning To Fear Its Serfs

"Following their tremendous victory in ousting two of Colorado’s dictators, the Basic Freedom Defense Fund (BFDF) and Pueblo Freedoms and Rights (PFR) have drawn a bead on more tyrants. They’re 'polling all Colorado legislators to gauge their support for repealing the very gun laws at the heart of the recalls.' The tone of the questionnaire these folks are sending politicians is especially heartening: polite but insistent, courteous but commanding. From between the lines leaps the warning, 'Answer this, and do it before our deadline of Sept. 30, because if you don’t, we’ll eject you from your cushy position, too.' So refreshing to see taxpayers dictating to the leeches rather than the other way around! " Continue reading
