Here Come the Salt Police!

"Medical researchers at Harvard University have released a report which says that Americans eat too much salt. This is a follow-up report on an earlier report by the same team, authored by the same man with the unpronounceable name, which concluded that Americans eat too much sugar. The author of the report, predictably, called for the federal government to enact legislation to limit the intake of salt in processed foods. In other words, he wants to turn the federal government into the equivalent of Nanny Bloomberg. He doesn’t like sugar. He doesn’t like salt. And, most of all, he doesn’t like liberty." Government Healthcare Propaganda versus The Truth (Seniors Vaccine Edition)

"USA Today reports that, overall, the vaccine was only 56 percent effective in terms of cutting the need for influenza-related medical visits. Specifically for folks age 65 and older, the vaccine was only 9 percent effective against this season's most prevalent flu strain, H3N2. 'Everyone at CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices meeting was scratching their heads over this,' William Schaffner, chair of preventive medicine at Vanderbilt University's School of Medicine in Nashville, told USA Today." 1 in 5 American teenage boys diagnosed with ADHD

"Nearly one in five American teenage boys is diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, marking a dramatic rise in the past decade. The condition, for which potent stimulant drugs like Adderal or Ritalin are often prescribed, has been previously estimated to affect three to seven percent of children. The newspaper compiled the data from raw figures provided by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, which took a phone survey of 76,000 parents from 2011 to 2012. The report said that 15 percent of school-age boys in the United States have received an ADHD diagnosis, compared to seven percent among girls." Continue reading

Without a Shot

"On January 16, 2013, President Obama released 23 'Gun Violence Reduction Executive Actions' of which Action #2, #14, #16, #17, #21, and #22 utilize the national healthcare system to collect gun ownership information. As Obamacare grows over the next decade, unwary citizens will voluntarily divulge firearm ownership information including serial numbers in exchange for routine healthcare. Through the power of incrementalism, placing this information in a federal database seems harmless at first. However, someday in the future, imagine a loved one in your care needing critical medical attention, so you rush into an Obamacare facility because no other option exists." Continue reading

Nurse Lets Patient Die in Real Life Milgram Experiment

"87-year-old Lorraine Bayless collapsed at Glenwood Gardens senior living facility in Bakersfield, California. A nurse named Colleen called 911 and was instructed by the dispatcher, Tracey Halvorson, to perform CPR to save the woman’s life, but Colleen replied that it was against their policy and she couldn’t do it, so she watched Lorraine die. Audio of the 911 call has been released which is chilling to the bone, and mainstream coverage of the story is almost as terrifying." Continue reading

Japanese man dies after being turned away from 25 hospitals

"A 75-year-old Japanese man died after 25 hospitals refused to admit him to their emergency rooms 36 times over two hours, citing lack of beds or doctors to treat him, an official said Tuesday. The man, who lived alone in a city north of Tokyo, called an ambulance after suffering breathing problems at his home in January. Paramedics rushed to his house but were told in turn by all 25 hospitals in the area that they could not accept the man because they did not have enough doctors or any free beds, a local city official said, adding some institutions were contacted more than once." What’s the Difference Between Romneycare and Obamacare?

"That’s a trick question, of course, as illustrated by this biting Henry Payne cartoon. But let’s look at one of the commonalities of Romneycare and Obamacare – higher premiums, thanks to mandates and third-party payer. Here’s a quick look at what’s been happening to premiums in Massachusetts. The same thing is already happening with Obamacare." Continue reading

Government hospitals removing wrong reproductive parts becomes a trend

"An unnamed cancer patient is suing the Salisbury District Hospital in the U.K. after an operation resulted in the amputation of his healthy testicle. The 48-year-old man is taking action against the hospital and the Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust on the grounds that the medical error has left him infertile. Doctors realized their mistake about 40 minutes into the procedure. In 2007, a 47-year-old Air Force veteran sued the West Los Angeles VA hospital for removing his right testicle rather than his atrophied, possibly cancerous left one. Surgeons at the West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St. Edmunds, England made a similar mistake in 2010." Continue reading

ObamaCare Will Weigh You Every Time You Visit the Doctor

"ObamaCare will now force you to be weighed and measured every time you go to the doctor’s. Your BMI is important to the federal government. Why? It’s not clear yet. At some point, fat people will start getting nagged. That’s what nannies are for. If you indulge in eating habits that the bureaucrats do not approve of, you will be reminded that you must change. Or else. Or else what? It’s not clear yet." Continue reading

New York paramedics posting disturbing pictures of patients online

"EMS officers in New York are posted pictures of injured and dead people online, according to the New York Post. One such officer, 34-year-old Lt. Timothy Dluhos, posted the picture of a woman in a wheelchair — along with the with caption 'Wide Load' — on social media websites. The act is likely a violation of federal law. When confronted about his online activity, he broke down crying, saying his life was ruined. The newspaper also uncovered other EMS and EMT officers who published pictures of those they were supposed to be helping. The pictures were often accompanied by mocking comments or collected as 'trophy' shots." Continue reading
