Today officers from Raleigh Police Department prevented us from doing our work, for the first time ever. The Real Reason College Costs So Much

"In 1964, federal student aid was a mere $231 million. By 1981, the feds were spending $7 billion on loans alone, an amount that doubled during the 1980s and nearly tripled in each of the following two decades, and is about $105 billion today. Taxpayers now stand behind nearly $1 trillion in student loans. Meanwhile, grants have increased to $49 billion from $6.4 billion in 1981. By expanding eligibility and boosting the maximum Pell Grant by $500 to $5,350, the 2009 stimulus bill accelerated higher ed's evolution into a middle-class entitlement. The ordinance bans camping on city-owned and residential property and prohibits sleeping, bathing and shaving in public restrooms. The ordinance effectively make it a crime to be homeless. Welfare Recipients Can Now Earn More Than Teachers

"A mother with two children in New York, for instance, is able to collect $38,004 per year in welfare handouts. This is greater than the starting salary of a teacher in the state. In 33 states, welfare recipients make more than they would at an $8 per hour job. In fact, in 12 of those states, welfare recipients make more than they would at a $12 per hour job. Where is the incentive to work? Michael Tanner, a senior fellow at CATO, said, 'There is no evidence that people on welfare are lazy. But they’re also not stupid.
