Tennessee Committee Passes Resolution in Support of Creating a Bullion Depository

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Mar 8, 2016) House Joint Resolution 516 (HJR516) from Rep. Brad Hulsey passed the House Finance, Ways & Means Committee this afternoon.

The resolution “expresses support for the storage of gold and precious metal bullion and coins in a Tennessee bullion depository” similar to what Gov. Greg Abbott signed into law in Texas last year. (learn more here)

It’s a resolution – but an important first step. We encourage Tennessee residents to get in touch with Hulsey if this passes to encourage him to file a bill to get this done in 2017.
