Signed as Law: Florida Allows Permitless Concealed Carry in the State

Under the law, persons over 21 can legally carry a firearm without a permit in Florida. The state will maintain its concealed carry licensing process for those who wish to get a permit in order to carry in other states that maintain CCDW reciprocity with Florida. Residents will only need to have a valid ID on them while concealed carrying.

Florida Bill Would Require Criminal Conviction Before Asset Forfeiture and Opt State Out of Federal Program

a Florida House subcommittee unanimously passed a bill that would reform the state's asset forfeiture process by requiring a criminal conviction in most cases. The enactment of this legislation would also take a significant step toward opting the state out of a program that allows police to circumvent more strict state forfeiture laws by passing cases off to the feds.

CBDC: Can States Stop a Central Bank Digital Currency?
