Liberals Spending in Michigan
Although Democrats have dropped spending on their candidates around the country, there are races here in Michigan formerly http://hotlineoncall.nationaljournal.com/archives/2010/10/dems_cut_member.php where they and their Liberal allies continue to spend. On a state level, in District 1 against GOP candidate, Dan Benishek ,for Bart Stupak’s vacant seat and in District 7, against Tim Walberg running against Mark Schauer
On a local level, I received this e-mail from current District 14th Ingham County Commissioner and candidate Steve Dougan
The Democratic candidate of Delhi township, Karen Dravenstatt-Moceri, (DISTRICT 15) is married to the union rep forthe International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers at the BWL, so you can guarantee she’d just be a sit-in for union interests, particularly Project Labor Agreements. (My Notations: Ms. Dravenstatt-Moceri, claims on her Campaign Finance filing that she has not raised more than $1,000, Hmmmmm why I am not convinced?!)

On my side, (DISTRICT 14) it’s pretty much the same thing. Liz Kranz has a huge warchest with money from the UAW,the Plumbers union, and by now, I’m sure she’s received IBEW money, as well as receiving money from most of the Lansing and East Lansing commissioners (Penelope Tsernoglou, a commissioner as well as Mark Grebner’s employee, gave Liz Kranz $500 pre-primary, so she’s eligible to give her $500 more post-primary). Kranz has also received money from a laundry list of Democratic (Liberal) legislators, including Barb Byrum, Mark Meadows, Gretchen Whitmer, and Joan Bauer fund-raiser, but also including many folks who have no other connection to Ingham County, such as State Senator Gilda Jacobs of Detroit.
Andy Schor, probably one of the most liberal county commissioners, personally raised $1,700 to do an anti-Steve (Dougan) mailer which hit last Thursday

Our signs have been stolen every day and night at an increasing, and tactical rate. Now they are stealing our expensive 4′ X 4′ signs. These thugs apparently don’t believe in people’s 1st Amendment rights to free speech. They want their say… but want to stifle our right to expression. (Anyone witnessing the theft of yard signs are encouraged to call police with information, hopefully a license plate number, this is theft
