“If we move in mass, be it ever so circuitously, we shall attain our object; but if we break into squads, everyone pursuing the path he thinks most direct, we become an easy conquest to those who can now barely hold us in check.” Thomas Jefferson letter to William Duane — 1811
I Didn’t See That Coming
As you may or may not know not only did the Senate substitute for the Medicaid Expansion bill HB 4714 pass out of the Senate Goverment Operations Committee but two other Medicaid related bills, SB 422 and SB 459 and its companion bill SB 460. also passed out.
I didn’t see that coming.
I believe Chairmen Richardville passed out all three bills for a vote on the Senate floor to return the favor to House majority leader Jase Bolger and the Govenor for throwing him under the bus and passing the buck to him to “get er done” on the Medicaid Expansion by hook or crook.
However, having three bills mucks up a clear path to pass the Expansion bill (HB 4714) out of the House, where it will go should it pass the Senate. That is good for those of us whose job one is to kill the Expansion bill!
I will have more on these three bills coming up shortly.
