Nebraska Bills Would Legalize Marijuana Despite Federal Cannabis Prohibition

Under the proposed law, adults over 21 could possess, process, transport, purchase, obtain, or give away up to 1 ounce of marijuana. An individual could also cultivate up to six marijuana plants. The proposed law would also establish a regulatory and tax structure for commercial marijuana cultivation and sales.

Permitless Concealed Carry Bill Filed in Virginia

A bill filed in the Virginia House would make it legal for Virginians to “carry a concealed handgun without a permit anywhere they may lawfully carry a handgun openly.” The enactment of a so-called “constitutional carry” bill would also foster an environment more hostile to federal gun control.

Arizona Bill Would Limit Federal Control Over Local Police

The legislation would prohibit the state and its political subdivisions from using any personnel or financial resources to enforce, administer or cooperate with any act, law, treaty, order, rule or regulation of the United States government that is inconsistent with any Arizona state law regarding the authority of state and local law enforcement agencies.
