Signed as Law: Nebraska Allows Permitless Concealed Carry in the State

The legislation amends existing state law to allow adults 21 and over to carry concealed firearms without a permit. Active-duty military personnel, National Guard members, and police officers under 21 can also carry concealed without a permit.

Permitless Concealed Carry Bill Filed in Virginia

HB1420 would make it legal for Virginians to "carry a concealed handgun without a permit anywhere they may lawfully carry a handgun openly." The enactment of a so-called “constitutional carry” bill would also foster an environment more hostile to federal gun control.

Permission not Required: “Constitutional Carry” Bill Filed in South Carolina

Under the proposed law, anyone who is legally allowed to own a gun could carry it without a state-issued license. Currently, South Carolina gun owners must first attend training through a certified South Carolina CWP instructor before they can get a permit.

Ohio Permitless Carry Law Now in Effect

Under the law, adults 21 and over who can legally possess a handgun in the state of Ohio can carry a concealed firearm without a state-issued permit. The legislation retains the current permitting process for those who wish to obtain a license in order to carry concealed in other states with CCDW reciprocity with Ohio.
