SWAT Army Occupies Boston

"What is particularly relevant here, and chilling from my point of view, is an observation Jeff Snyder makes in his powerful book, 'Nation of Cowards.' Snyder talks about the change that takes place, that must take place, in the psyche of a person who is protected by others as a matter of routine. He accepts that protection in exchange for some portion of his own sense of personal responsibility. As a result, he can often be more easily controlled by those protectors. We're well on our way." Fedcoats & Presstitutes Exploit Americans’ Ignorance With ‘Boston Massacre’ Propaganda

At present the Boston Massacre label is being used to invoke a sort of uniting of the nation behind the increasingly unpopular federal government as against the more private form of violent criminals who seek to deprive Americans of life, liberty, and property. The Boston Massacre is a keyword that most Americans will recognize from their Revolutionary period history classes and therefore identify with in a symbolic way. However, the current promotion of the marathon bombing as some sort of a 'Boston Massacre II' is so removed from the context of the original as to strain credulity. Continue reading

People Love Being Dehumanized by the Security Apparatus

"Or so the police state's house organ, WaPo, alleges. 'Expect to see more people in uniform, a greater display of law enforcement firepower, added security in places where it had been relaxed and increased efforts to poke into backpacks and purses,' claims the dying paper paper. All this failed in Boston, of course, but it is comforting, we are told." Continue reading

Thousands of heavily armed police swarm Boston town in bombing suspect manhunt

"Thousands of heavily armed police went door-to-door through a Massachusetts town on Friday in an unprecedented massive hunt for the remaining Boston marathon bombing fugitive. Authorities halted all public bus and train services in the Boston region and told hundreds of thousands of people in several towns around Watertown to stay home in a bid to isolate the suspect. Inhabitants were ordered to remain in their homes and only answer the door if they were sure it was a police officer. More than 9,000 police, many armed with shotguns and automatic rifles, were sent to the town to find Suspect Two." Continue reading

When The Window Closes For Americans

"Something I think you can plan your life around is the eventuality of the US government imposing capital controls and other restrictive measures on the movement of people and capital. Any country that is sufficiently desperate can and will implement such measures. The big question remains: When will this happen in the US? I believe that moment will arrive sometime before it is apparent that the US dollar has lost its place as the world's premier currency. The ramifications of the US dollar losing this status are difficult to overstate. It will be the tipping point at which the US government becomes sufficiently desperate." Continue reading

Greece to sack 15,000 state workers in next two years to unlock bail-out cash

"Greece is in deep recession, GDP has contracted by 22pc since 2008 and unemployment has spiralled to 27pc as the Greek government has implemented deeply unpopular EU-IMF austerity measures or 'fiscal adjustment' in return for loans. 'Our society has reached its limits. But finally we are meeting our targets and the programme is being improved,' said Antonis Samaras, the Prime Minister, in a nationally televised address. 'Soon, Greece will not depend on the memorandums. Greece will have growth, it will be competitive and outward-looking. In other words, we will have a strong Greece.'" Continue reading

Bill Bonner: Turning Argentine…

"'Are you kidding?' said an Argentine friend. 'Nobody wants to save pesos. You get them. You spend them.' 'I've seen this show before,' said another friend. 'I was here in Argentina in the 1980s, when we had inflation of 1,000% per month. And I was in Moscow when the Soviet Union fell apart. Inflation hit about 800% there in 1993. I see signs of a big takeoff in inflation again. Watch out.' But for well-to-do Argentines, the quality of life here must be among the highest in the world. There are dozens of restaurants within a five-minute walk. You can sit outside. The weather is nice. And prices are cheap, if you convert your money on the black market." Continue reading

Dad Finds 4th-Grader’s Crayon-Written Paper: ‘I’ll Give Up Constitutional Rights To Be Safer’

"The words are written in crayon, in the haphazard bumpiness of a child’s scrawl. 'I am willing to give up some of my constitutional rights in order to be safer or more secure.' They’re the words that Florida father Aaron Harvey was stunned to find his fourth-grade son had written, after a lesson in school about the Constitution. Harvey’s son attends Cedar Hills Elementary in Jacksonville, Fla. Back in January, a local attorney came in to teach the students about the Bill of Rights. But after the attorney left, fourth-grade teacher Cheryl Sabb dictated the sentence to part of the class and had them copy it down, he said." Continue reading

FDR Pulled a Cyprus on the American People 80 Years Ago This Week

"This week marks the 80th anniversary of FDR's decree, writes the Daily Bail. It remained the law of the land for more than four decades. Only on Dec. 31, 1974, was it finally repealed by Gerald Ford. Below is a full copy of the Executive Order." Continue reading

Communism Survivor To Gun-Grabbing Politicians: “You Don’t Know What Freedom Is”

"'You don't know what freedom is because you never lost it!' With a pointed finger Manuel Martinez called out Anti-Gun Committee Leader Floyd Prozansky during heated testimony on Friday. You can bet Prozansky got the message. Mr. Martinez escaped the brutal Communist regime in Cuba in 1954. His testimony included how citizens under Castro were first disarmed by legislation similar to that being shepherded along by Gun-Grabber in Chief Floyd Prozanski. Defenseless, many Cuban Citizens were later summarily slaughtered." Continue reading
