New Hampshire House Committee Holds Hearing on Bill to Take on Federal Gun Control; Past, Present, and Future

Titled “Protection of Natural Right to Property and Self-defense,” the legislation would ban any entity or person, including any public officer or employee of the state and its political subdivisions, from enforcing any past, present or future federal acts, laws, executive orders, administrative orders, court orders, rules, regulations, statutes, or ordinances that infringe on the right to keep and bear arms.

South Carolina Subcommittee Advances Permitless Carry Bill

The legislation would allow adults legally allowed to own a firearm to carry a concealed weapon without a state-issued permit. The bill includes provisions regulating where firearms can be carried in the state. South Carolina would continue issuing concealed carry permits for those who want them in order to take advantage of CCDW reciprocity in other states.

West Virginia House Passes Bill to Prohibit Using Credit Card Information to Track Firearms Purchases Without a Warrant

The legislation would prohibit any West Virginia governmental entity from accessing or obtaining a record of a transaction involving a credit card that is retrieved, characterized, generated, labeled, sorted, or grouped based on the assignment of a firearms code without a warrant or a subpoena in most situations.
