South Carolina Committee Advances Permitless Carry Bill

The legislation would allow adults legally allowed to own a firearm to carry a weapon concealed or openly without a state-issued permit. Currently, South Carolina gun owners must first attend training through a certified South Carolina CWP instructor before they can get a permit.

Iowa Subcommittee Passes Bill to Ban Enforcement of Federal Gun Control; Past, Present and Future

The legislation would ban any person, including any public officer or employee of the state and its political subdivisions, from enforcing any past, present or future federal “acts, laws, executive orders, administrative orders, court orders, rules, or regulations” that infringe on the right to keep and bear arms.

Montana vs ATF: No Enforcement of Pistol Brace Rule

Second Arizona House Committee Passes Bill to Expand Ban on State Enforcement of Federal Gun Control

HB2394 would add language to include “any tax, levy, fee or stamp imposed on firearms, firearm accessories or ammunition not common to all other goods and services and that might reasonably be expected to create a chilling effect on the purchase or ownership of those items by law-abiding citizens” to that prohibition.

Mississippi House Passes Bill to Prohibit Using Credit Card Information to Track Firearms Purchases

Titled the Second Amendment Financial Privacy Act, the proposed law would prohibit a financial institution or its agent from requiring or “assigning” a specific firearm or ammunition merchant code to any firearms business located in Mississippi.
