Drones, Assassinations, and the Drug War

"The Chinese military recently planned to assassinate by drone a suspected drug lord hiding out in Myanmar who was accused of having murdered 13 Chinese soldiers. While Chinese authorities ultimately decided not to carry out the assassination and ended up capturing the guy and having a court sentence him to death, the episode clearly points in the direction that both the Chinese communist regime and the U.S. government are taking their respective countries. After all, China could justify the assassination of the suspected drug lord in the same way that the U.S. government justifies the assassination of suspected terrorists." Continue reading

Credit Suisse Says Governments Are Discouraging Gold Holdings – And What It Misses

"In a globalist, technocratic society, civil society arises as a kind of negotiation between the demands of the state and the desires of its citizens. But in reality this is an entirely unequal discussion, as the state intends to impose its demands by force. What Credit Suisse and other firms are missing, however, is that the current arrangement is an unstable one that arrogates more and more power over time to the state. If citizens in various repressive states are hoarding gold, it is because they don't trust government-run currencies. Perhaps they hoard gold as well because taxes are continually rising and because price inflation is out of control." Continue reading

WARNING: You are about to be Exposed to “Washington Monument Syndrome”

"Airlines and airports across the country are preparing for across-the-board federal budget cuts due to hit next week as if they were a hurricane, although with even less certainty about how many flights they will have to cancel and how many passengers will be stranded. The federal government is warning about delays that could begin in March, as the first cuts take effect, and reduced takeoffs and slower security lines that could worsen in April with furloughs." TSA Detains 3 Year Old In Wheelchair Who Suffers from Spina Bifida

"Lucy, who suffers from Spina bifida and is confined to a wheelchair was on her way to Disney World when she was stopped after going through security at her home airport. She, along with her parents and siblings made it through the security checkpoint without a problem until the TSA stopped them on their way to their gate. TSA promptly took away Lucy's favorite toy which led her to weep uncontrollably. TSA demanded that her parents stop recording. Lucy's father, a lawyer, told them that he was legally allowed to record them and her mother said repeatedly 'you're not touching my daughter' without a camera documenting their actions." Prescription Drug Overdoses Killed 23,000 Americans in 2010; Cannabis – 0

"Drug overdose deaths rose for the eleventh straight year in America, fueled by legal prescriptions for OxyContin and Valium. Medical cannabis, meanwhile, continued its 10,000 year-long streak of not killing anyone by overdose. There is no physical way to overdose on smoked or ingested cannabis, making it one of the safest, most non-toxic painkillers, sleeping aids, and stress relievers on the planet. It’s also a Schedule One narcotic that the U.S. government says has no medical use and a high potential for abuse. Drugs that the U.S. government considers safer caused about 60 percent of the 38,329 drug overdose deaths nationwide in 2010." Continue reading

Columbine Gunshot Survivor To Obama On Gun Control: ‘WHOSE SIDE ARE YOU ON?’

"'It was during this time that I personally witnessed two fellow students murder twelve of my classmates and one teacher,' he writes. 'The assault weapons ban did not deter these two murderers, nor did the other thirty-something laws that they broke.' Of particular note in the letter is the survivor’s insistence that Obama’s proposed regulations impede the rights of Americans and endanger them by capping magazine sizes and restricting the types of guns that are available to law-abiding citizens. 'Why would you prefer criminals to have the ability to out-gun law-abiding citizens?,' he asks the president in the text. 'Whose side are you on?'" Continue reading

Obama’s Washington Monument Syndrome

"The game is this: Whenever a politician is 'threatened' with a minor slowdown in spending, the first thing to do is to eliminate police, firefighters, ambulance services, school buses, etc. -- everything that inflicts the maximum discomfort on the victims of the government monopoly (a.k.a., taxpayers). The booboisie then wake up from their American Idol stupor for a moment to raise a fuss. But it may not work for the Obammunists, for their biggest threat so far is to furlough 'civilian defense employees.' Unlike ambulance or school bus drivers, these bureaucrats provide no useful service to anyone. They will be the only ones complaining." Continue reading

Scientists create lifelike ears with 3D printing

"The new ears could provide the solution long sought by reconstructive surgeons to treat thousands of children born with the congenital deformity microtia, along with those who suffered ear loss to cancer or in an accident. Cornell biomedical engineers and physicians said the flexible ears grew cartilage over three months to replace the collagen used to mold them. Bonassar and his colleagues first constructed the ears with a digitized 3D image of a person’s ear that served to build a mold of a solid ear using a 3D printer. A high-density, injectable gel made of living cells helped fill the mold. Once the mold removed, cartilage was grown on the collagen." Continue reading

Police Chief Wants Citizens As ‘Reserve Force’ To Defend Against Feds

"Law enforcement officers at the local level are making their stand and they want you to be a part of that. While I’ve written on various sheriffs that have made their own stance to protect their citizens from anyone attempting to confiscate guns, I recently ran across Police Chief Mark Kessler of the Gilberton Borough Police Department in Pennsylvania. He wants citizens to join with his police department in building a 'reserve force' that will aid his police force should the need arise to resist Federal authorities when it comes to the Second Amendment."
