Remember why

This Memorial Day as you spend time with your family and friends, take time to remember why we have this day of remembrance. It is not simply so we can have a bbq, go to the lake, or enjoy a long weekend to start off the summer. It is a day to show appreciation for our freedoms and for those who have sacrificed so we may be free. Our country is unlike any other in the history of mankind, we are a self-governed people; but it has not come cheaply, there has been a price. And throughout our history there have been men and women willing to stand up and pay that price. So as you enjoy your day today, reflect back and give thanks for all those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice so you can enjoy the freedoms you are celebrating today. Freedom has never been free, so remember its cost, not only today, but ever day you are free.
