Earlier this year, I did a post on this topic and it seems to deserve a repeat because we are still not having the right conversation! From February…
America needs God. That is a truth that cannot be spoken enough. For years now, lawmakers have fought to remove God from every aspect of our country’s foundation. Although the crosses may not be hanging where they once were, we can still see their outline.
We know beyond a doubt that we need God, yet we continue to swim in the filthy waters of a faithless pool. Then when mass murders happen and people die, people cry out, “WHY GOD!?” They curse him and ask him how he could let this happen….
But…..we kicked him out. Remember? How could he stop it when we have told him that he is not welcome?

Recently Senator Nathan Dahm kicked off his campaign for Congress in Broken Arrow. Special thanks to Bryan Mayberry for capturing the event on video for us. I believe Nathan is running for all the right reasons with a solid voting record to confirm that he is the right man for this job — not only that he actually reads the bills! He has my vote and my prayers and all that I can do to help.

It is easy to tell things are getting shaky for statist Christian leaders and political activists, when they resort to trotting out the fake Romans 13 card. We’ve been hearing a lot about that lately, even in the mainstream press. It always means the “sheep” need to be subdued and herded back into their pen – back into the bubble of state approved thought.
Here is a tongue in cheek but accurate paraphrase of the passage from the UTV or “Unauthorised Totalitarian Version” (taken from the article, “Rights, Liberties and Romans 13“) which attempts to “translate” not so much the actual text, but the way many Christian leaders have drummed it in:

It is truly hard to imagine any message more appropriate right now. I hope you will watch this video before the eclipse. I think it will add new perspective to what is occurring in the heavenlies.

The movie is compelling on so many levels. It was refreshing to see a journalist actually dig for a story and admit when he makes a mistake! The story is about Lee Strobel and his efforts to research and debunk the ‘myth’ of Christianity and faith. He is a writer and a seeker of truth from beginning to end.
And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

If you are paying attention you can almost see the hound of heaven pounding on the door of his heart. You can see the prayers of his wife materialize on the screen. You can feel the agony of a man’s journey to find the truth even when it defies all he has built his life around.
Don’t miss this movie when it is in your area. You and your entire family will enjoy and probably learn something too. Did I mention there is a subplot that is as compelling as the main story. It revolves around a court case and a media story that causes his conviction wrongfully. I wonder how many of us would have had the courage to admit we were wrong and correct the matter?

WHEREAS, We hold these truths to be self evident that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness;
WHEREAS, The Oklahoma Republican Party Platform states: “God is the Author and Creator of life and that all human life, both born and unborn, should be protected.” (Republican Principles) ; and it later states: “We believe that at the point of conception, a person is granted the rights guaranteed in the U.S. Constitution.” -(B. Right-to-Life and Medical Ethics);
WHEREAS, Abortion is considered a crime under Oklahoma Statutes 21-861 and 21-862; and
WHEREAS, The 10th Amendment states that “[t]he powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.-”

Ivory is 15 years old (2017) and recently she was getting pretty lethargic, loosing weight and not grooming herself properly, so I took her to Arrowhead Veterinary Clinic in Dewey on January 25th. They did a blood analysis on her and found she was in early stage renal (kidney) failure. This is the story of how we discovered stem cell therapy and what that process has been like for Ivory.

William Norman Grigg died this afternoon. He was a journalist, broadcaster, editor, musician, father, husband, and self-described Christian Individualist. He was also my hero.
Will’s main beat was stories about individual victims of the state: particularly Americans who have been unjustly imprisoned or wrongfully assaulted by government officers. His research for each article was exhaustive. From his home in Idaho, he traveled all around the northwest to get the story in person. He would get to know each subject personally, and seek face-to-face interviews with their powerful persecutors. His tireless work has saved several innocent lives from being slowly drained away in prison. He wrote so many pieces about Christopher Tapp, a man who has spent two decades in prison for a murder he did not commit, that the Libertarian Institute, where he was managing editor, will publish a whole book collecting them.

A fire warning has been issued for the towns of Fort Supply, Laverne and Buffalo in Harper County. Residents of Fort Supply have been asked to evacuate south toward Woodward, where a shelter is available at the Woodward Pioneer Room, located at 1212 9th Street.
