Books Are Being Added to the Library

Several years ago now, I worked with a dear friend and mentor to publish books for him. His name was Jesse C Jones and he was a lifetime friend of my family. His story and a little about the early days is in one of his books, A Man of God. When we originally published his books, we did so on the platform Scribd. It was a great place to store books, pamphlets, and documents and everything was free to publish and share. Since that time, they have tried to move the platform to a membership venue, but we are grandfathered in there at least for now. I don't like the way they try to get everyone who goes there to join now, but all of our books there are still free to read and download if you push past all that. But I don't know how long that will last either. Therefore, I am slowly adding the books that I want to be sure stay available to CLibertyC. I plan to leave them on Scribd as well. As these books are added, they will be indexed and linked here for your easy access below. They are being added by the date published so they are spread out back in time on this websites and not just looking as if they were current publications.

I (Jesse C. Jones) chose the above title to reflect my understanding of what the Bible tells us about God’s plan and purpose in sending His only Son to earth in the form of a man. We know that Jesus came to restore God’s chosen ones to favor through spiritual regeneration. The path He chose is marked with milestones described herein. This book was originally published in paperback but is now no longer readily available in print. It is available here online with a different cover than the version in print. You may read it online or download it in pdf format below.

A Study on the Gospel of John by Jesse C Jones

John wrote this Gospel while he was bishop of the church at Ephesus, during the period between 80 - 90 AD, and prior to the writing of 1, 2, and 3 John, and the Book of Revelation. This Gospel is often referred to as the “spiritual Gospel,” since it focuses on the spiritual aspect of Jesus’ ministry, emphasizing His divinity. A Study on the Epistle to the Colossians by Jesse C Jones

The design of this letter was to correct false teachings, and to point out to this church the supreme headship of Christ, who is above all principalities and powers. This is one of the four “Prison Epistles,” the other three being Ephesians, Philippians, and Philemon (62-63 AD). Topics include faith, putting on the mind of Christ, the old man, and intercession.

Paul opens his epistle by identifying himself as an apostle of Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for the sins of all mankind and was raised from the dead by God the Father to deliver them from this present evil age. Paul and the brethren with him ask for His grace and peace to be on the churches of Galatia. Topics include circumcision, works of the flesh, fruits of the Spirit, and bearing one another's burdens.

A Study on the Epistle to the Philippians by Jesse C Jones

This is one of the four “Prison Epistles,” the other three are Ephesians, Colossians, and Philemon. It was in Philippi that the gospel was first preached in Europe in response to a vision Paul had from a man of Macedonia who implored, ”Come over to Macedonia and help us” (Acts 16:9). Interpreting this plea as a summons from God, Paul and his party sailed for Neapolis, the port of Philippi. Philippi, the chief city in that part of Macedonia, was a Roman colony at that time (Acts 16:12). It had no synagogue so on the sabbath Paul and his party went out of the city to a riverside where there was a place of prayer. Through the kindness of Lydia, a devout convert of Paul, they were cared for. Chapters include: Thankfulness and Prayer, Be Like Christ, Paul Gives Up Everything for Christ, and Closing Exhortations.

A Study on the First Epistle to the Thessalonians by Jesse C Jones

While Paul proceeded to Corinth, he sent Timothy to ascertain the condition in this new church. Timothy joined Paul in Corinth and reported the steadfastness of the faith of these believers, but that they were disturbed, and were laboring under mistaken ideas relative to the Second Coming of Christ. They were under the impression that this great event was soon to occur and raised the question, what about those who had died having a part in His glorious coming and kingdom? To set their at minds at rest on this point Ploniaaul wrote this first letter. It was the first of thirteen epistles written in 52 or 53 AD, or about eighteen years after his conversion. It was written at Corinth where Paul spent eighteen months.

A Study on the Epistle to the Ephesians by Jesse C Jones

It was while Paul was at Corinth where he spent the winter of A.D. 58 on his third missionary journey, that he wrote the Epistle to the Ephesians. Chapters in this book include an introduction followed by: God Chose Us Before the Foundation of the World, What We Were By Nature, and What We Are By Grace, The Gentiles Are Included In Christ, The Mystery of Paradise, Love is the Principle Thing in Your Life and in Your Marriage and, The War Christians Face and the Armor God Provides.
