John wrote this Gospel while he was bishop of the church at Ephesus, during the period between 80 – 90 AD, and prior to the writing of 1, 2, and 3 John, and the Book of Revelation. This Gospel is often referred to as the “spiritual Gospel,” since it focuses on the spiritual aspect of Jesus’ ministry, emphasizing His divinity.
