A Study on the Three Epistles of John by Jesse C Jones

The author of this and the two following epistles, the fourth gospel, and the book of Revelation was the Apostle John, the son of Zebedee. His close intimacy with Jesus is indicated by the expressions “the beloved disciple,” and the “disciple whom Jesus loved.” In this book, John discusses the person of Christ, knowing Christ as our advocate and mediator, and several aspects of the love of God. The appendix is about the concept of the washing of water by the word throughout scripture.
