I (Jesse C. Jones) chose the above title to reflect my understanding of what the Bible tells us about God’s plan and purpose in sending His only Son to earth in the form of a man. We know that Jesus came to restore God’s chosen ones to favor through spiritual regeneration. The path He chose is marked with milestones described herein. This book was originally published in paperback but is now no longer readily available in print. It is available here online with a different cover than the version in print. The author of this and the two following epistles, the fourth gospel, and the book of Revelation was the Apostle John, the son of Zebedee. His close intimacy with Jesus is indicated by the expressions “the beloved disciple,” and the “disciple whom Jesus loved.” In this book, John discusses the person of Christ, knowing Christ as our advocate and mediator, and several aspects of the love of God. The appendix is about the concept of the washing of water by the word throughout scripture.
